    Is one chunk of cream cheese missing the pot a mandatory step? (you know I'm always watching for those little slips :P) I make a slow cooker version of this that's very similar, this looks like a great alternative that I will have to try!     Can you use this with chicken wings but it's hard to brown chicken wings so what I was thinking maybe if you boiled them first or broiled or baked them a little bit and then make your sauce and let them cook in the oven with the sauce.

    Havarti ๐Ÿ’ฏ Best kind I've had (out of about 6) is Prima Della sliced at a 1 1/2. They sell it at the local WalMart deli here, so it shouldn't be hard to find, creamiest taste. I pair it with a good cottage white bread (distinctive for having a light flour coating on the top loaf area) and use softened Land O' Lakes butter (if you aren't comfortable leaving the butter out, you can nuke it to soften and use a spatula or basting brush to apply, get a full coat, all the way to the edges, that's key) toast to a medium brown flipping carefully several times. If you want, a slight (very slight) shake of garlic powder on the bread when almost finished cooking is good if you're eating with tomato basil or a bisque. That's how I like it, yum. ๐Ÿ‘ bomb diggity.

      That should be fine, I recommend adding softened cream cheese so it stirs in better. Microwave it for 15-20 seconds.
