There shouldn't be just more regulation, it should be illegal to keep owls in closed spaces. Let them be in the wild where they belong.

Very good idea YK, I signed as well. I'm also software engineer and in my spare time I really enjoy bird watching. I think all the concept of "owl cafe" may look "kawaii" but in fact I am against that. I mean, completely. Owls are really wild birds (and quite good predators by the way), so they have absolutely NOTHING to do in places like a "owl cafe" just to be touched by human beings. We, as human being have to do the effort to find them on their territory, as visitors. It is a much better experience to see the birds in their natural environment and it teaches us more humility and respect. In Japan by example, there is many possibilities to see owls or wild birds, there is also guided tours for that. I agree with you and this video and I support your move on that. I hope it will have an impact somehow!

I felt the same when I went to an owl cafe in Tokyo. I was shocked to see the birds chained up. I will say it was very very quiet and they made sure the birds weren’t overly touched. I was able to talk to the owner. But it was an uncomfortable situation for me. I was not expecting the birds to be tied up.

Another option: tell us the link or location for 1st cafe you went to so tourists can support the good cafes and avoid the bad ones. Maybe that will help the bad ones take notice that we will not support or visit places where animals are abused.

They are my favorite animal in the world and I want the best for them. I don't want to see them trapped or chained up.

This is an old trick that comes in many forms. It really works, but you have to put it into action, not just think about it. Don't write it off just because you've heard something like this before. Try it. Another area where this principle works is if you are about to tackle some project that seems big and complex, and you don't know where to start. Like a programming project. Or, it's a large daunting chore around the house. In either case, here's what to do. Rather than confront the whole mess at once, find something small that you can confront: a piece of the program that you understand, or a piece of the chore that you do feel up to doing. Do it. Then, find some other piece of the program, or the chore that you feel comfortable taking on, and do that. Keep doing this, again and again. Eventually, you will have mastered the whole task, or are well on you way. (1) This puts you into action mode, so you are no longer procrastinating, for whatever reason. (2) It helps you focus and organize, as you relate the pieces of the project or task to one another.
