    FOX has ordered THE F WORD, a bold new food variety show from award-winning chef and series host Gordon Ramsay. Based on his hit U.K. series of the same name, each distinctive and fast-paced hour will combine good food and good cooking with Ramsay’s passion, energy and humor into a one-of-a-kind LIVE series. THE F WORD is scheduled to premiere in 2017 on FOX.
    On THE F WORD, foodie families from across the U.S. will battle it out in an intense, high-stakes cook-off. In addition to impressing Ramsay, each team must win over the hearts and taste buds of the diners, celebrities and VIP guests whom they’re serving.
    Throughout each hour-long episode, cooking competition meets variety show as Ramsay chats with surprise guests and VIPs in the dining room, hosts live remotes with people from across the country, and appears weekly in unique field segments with fans, foodies and culinary experts.

    I tried this almost to the T but my steak was undercooked around the 3:30-4 minute mark but they outside had been significantly seared I threw it back on but ended up overlooking it does anyone know how to get a nice rare color without burning the outside?

      mike sharkey is the heat on high? You also need to let the steak rest at room temperature for at least 20 minutes before putting it on the high heat pan. That is what id guess the problem is. If the steak is cold it wont cook properly

    I tried making this with his ground coffee and the steak tasted like...burnt coffee.
    It was probably my fault for doing something wrong, but it ruined a perfectly good $14 cut. Fml.

      +Bree James I didn't just haphazardly add coffee. I grounded it and mixed it with a little bit of chipotle, black pepper, and salt, but I guess it was too much coffee. :-(. He's a little imprecise in his instructions sometimes.

      Juan Fumero there was more to the rub other than coffee it was coffee chipotle and other spices but he didn’t say what they were :( I wish he told us the rub recipe that’s why I clicked anyways I normally use Montreal steak seasoning you can get it for like a dollar at grocery or you could just use salt and pepper , but don’t put just coffee on steak if you use it If you just put coffee on the steak that’s what it’ll taste like

    I'd never argue or presume to tell Gordon how to cook anything, but a steak has to be grilled.
    No rub of nonsense, no oil, no spices. Just salt and pepper. That's it.

    Definitely some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I’d have to try this to really know how good it is, but all that butter and oil...well good God that’s just a lot of those. And at the high heat he is cooking, are butter and olive oil which burn so quickly really the best choices? It’d be fun to have a class with the man, he really inspires me to learn more.
