That horrible movie is about the american straw man. Not racism, not be more gratful for what you have. He was litterally showing us we are all monotized. Learn about it people, your birth certificate is a bond. The american government is using us as a currency. Race camps are just to divide us. If you cant see that then they already got you, and you lost.

Thanks for giving some credit to the experience that is uniquely living in American as a translocated black person. Thanks for also inspiring to see the movie US as a work more than a movie in the horror genre (which usually scares me shitless).

Ok Spoiler Alert: When the white woman is dying and she yells for the device "Alexa" to call the police... and instead she plays F--- the Police by NWA. Yo i thought Jordan was really just being PETTY at that point. It signified how black people call the police and they either turn on people of color...or they show up an hour later, because they don't care. It was literally showing a white person for a second what its like, but also in a super petty way. Loved it.

I give the film Us 2.4 stars out of 5.0. But Winston Duke gets 4.5 stars out of 5 for my favourite character. He is something. I cannot describe his screen presence - but oh wow!

The movie Us had me . But oh no it didn't. Too much info; too many things explained and unexplained. Maybe I'm too dumb to appreciate the mind of Jordan Peele. But if not me who.

Sorry Mr. Peele but this is first movie I have paid for in nearly 2 years. And yes, I feel cheated.

However, when you make your next movie I will be there. I do love your work after all.

I don't think it's fair to judge Red. She took an opportunity for immediate advancement. Unfortunately that involved stripping her tethered of her privilege. That's what capitalism will do to a person. Think about the film Trading Places where Randolph and Mortimer gave and took privilege as a joke. The joke isn't important. The monumental shift of privilege at such a fast pace is what's important. Haves and have nots are always on a seesaw of power. Red recognized that they were level in the house of mirror and she took the chance to go up and stay there.

Finally got an oppertunity to watch "US" ; I felt like the film was over Theaterized with metaphorical content and symbolism. At one point, the Terror and Horror got lost and overshadowed by the Symbolic nature of the film. It became too literal, more like a stage play " Hamlet" than "creepy show/ the shinning/ the Thing".
(The Actors all did a great job)
I may have to watch it again. Sometimes you can't put everything and then kitchen sink in one song/ film. You have to create another track/ Album/ film to get your point accomplished.
