I'm getting an old 82 C10 Custom and i think that's whats wrong with it as well. My friends dad said it needs new fuel lines but i think it needs a new fuel pump because we had to use starting fluid on the Quadrajet Carb.

One year ago I bought a queen garage 2003 Lincoln Town Car Signature Trim with 30,000 miles. The car was sitting in the garage for 7 years since the passing of the owner (a doctor by the way). The car had like two inches of dust and a flat tire. I just clean one window to see the clear like new interior and decided to get it. First I went to buy a brand new battery, secondly, I check the oil level, third I disconnected both coils and then cranck the engine on and off to "circulate the oil" after that I connected the coils, start the engine and there you go a complete silence engine running like a cat purr.

I just bought a very cheap honda civic from a friend he said the car has been sitting for almost a year. He said everything was ok untill he lost the key so i had a relative come out to try to jump start it and nothing not even lights came on and the battery does have a sticker of 12/12. So do you think if i start by replacing the battery would give me a fighting chance?

Put old gas (~60+ days with no fuel stabilizer added first) into your lawn mower if and only if you want to learn how to drain a lawnmower gas tank and clean a lawnmower carburetor.
Owner's manuals pretty much universally suggest running gas-powered yard equipment until empty before you put them into storage for a while, for instance, over winter.
I've had a lawnmower stop working on multiple occasions due to old gas that sat less than 3 months.
Even if it does run a lawnmower after 2 or 3 months (3 months being E10's shelf life in a closed tank) it's leaving gunk inside.
