They turned it into a S&M sex dungeon and are making so much money they're opening a chain of them all over the UK in churches closed by the government. They're calling them the Golden Shower Corrals. Ramsay has a third ownership.

  • TDanger1911
    TDanger1911 3 months ago

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this, but I much prefer the UK episodes to the US version. The problems with the restaurants are much more clearly illustrated, and there's more time spent on the process of working out a solution. There's way too much emphasis on drama in the US version.

Gordon. Not all people want super and expensive food.
Some people want mediocre and cheap. And thats fine. We can't all be like you.
The poor has to eat as well.
    As usual you're so onesighted.
You're like a horse with blinds.
But i guess you cant have a show if you don't take things into consideration.
The only good point you have is that the food is too cheap.
They can't keep up a business if they struggle to earn their daily income

These carverys are all the same. Pile it high and sell it cheap. Theres one near me thats about £6 a plate, a BIG plate. More nutritious than Mcdonalds perhaps, but it's god awful. Everything is dry, colourless, flavourless...why? It's sat under lights for hours and most of it is frozen produce. The peas become desiccated and colourless on one side, a unique feature of carverys. The gravy is watery and they even manage to fuck up cauliflower cheese.....Yet on meal time it's packed with geriatrics. Thing is, the old folks think it's great because you lose your sense of taste as you age....so they literally haven't a clue whats going on. In fairness though, not everywhere can be michelin starred and charge £15+ per course. If you changed the way this place works, it would empty out within a week because the customers they have only care about price and would go to the nearest Toby carvery instead.
