I would really want to hear your thoughts on super affordable essence lash princess mascaras! :) I personally have the lash princess sculpted volume one (the purple one) and I'm loving it! One of my top 3 mascaras for sure! It costs around 4€ so it's really cheap. I think your younger viewers would appreciate it! I missed your videos so much. But I was having some personal issues/struggles. Now I'm back on track, haha! :D

Hourglass face palettes are always for some reason limited edition - they go out of stock quickly, and then when they’re mentioned in favorite videos (because they are of course amazing), supreme disappointment follows. I had to order mine on Ebay. ....I love it. It was worth the exorbitant price I paid for it.

when you were talking about the Becca powder being wet- does anyone remember back in the day when Prescriptives were huge and they had Prescriptives Magic setting powder and it was like that- felt cold/wet when you applied! must be similar formula! update*- probs the same formula- just looked online and Estee Lauder own both Becca and Prescriptives! thought too much of a coincidence!

My fave products this year have been Emily Noel's palettes with Makeup Revolution (which really are very good, at least mine have been), Hourglass blush in diffused heat and benefit hoola bronzer (not new, but new to me this year), and Morphe highlighter in spark. Oh, and this eye wand I got from e.l.f. - it came in a set with eye cream and it's really brilliant. It uses vibration and heat to help your eye cream sink in, and I swear the vibrations are helping my dark circles by keeping the blood circulating. Might be a placebo but I've noticed a difference nonetheless!

Fleur, you are a lovely you tuber but you reallly need a change in your channel. It has been exactly the same for years now and although you have a lot of subs your views wd increase if you revamped a bit. The formula worked to get you there but to sustain and grow you need a fresh approach maybe?

I’m 27 with sensitive acne prone skin, I’m looking for an anti ageing cream. I’ve tried a few but seen no difference. Any help?

    • Kay Jane
Kay Jane 6 months ago +1

RedLadyBug U You have to really use them for a solid couple of months to even feel anything, really at 27 you’re not going to see a difference because they’re isn’t a difference to make but continuous use will prevent the ageing over time. So when you’re 37 you’re not trying to reverse the skins ageing, you’re already ahead.

This is the first year I've brought more expensive makeup and it's nice but I often only like it as much as my normal makeup. Having said that, Laura Mercier is the only thing in this world that keeps my undereye concealer in place, and I got Gucci Bloom for Xmas and it's the right balance of sweet and floral and not too heavy

I love the Becca powder! Was awesome setting my makeup for a summer wedding in Virginia - windy, wet, and hot - and stayed set beautifully! Charlotte Tilbury is on my lust list to try! It’s not sold in many stores in the US, which is so annoying.

2018 was my year of revisiting old favourites: I'm back to using and loving the Clinique Moisture Surge range (the 72 hour hydrator is a game changer and the overnight mask is a miracle for transforming dry skin on my face, hands and elbows! And the hydrating spray is amazing for travel and top-up moisturising), Estee Lauder advanced night repair serum (so expensive, and so worth it!), NYX eyeliner (the one that looks like a Sharpie and lasts like one too, but washes off like a dream), No7 tubing mascara (the gold tube - no more smudges! No more waking up to a pillow that looks like the Turin shroud, even after cleansing!)... La Vie Est Belle perfume is back in pride of place on my dressing table, after I tried and failed to find a less 'obvious' signature scent - who cares if everyone else is wearing it too, it's too gorgeous to resist!
All of these were part of my routine over the years and somehow fell away, but I've rediscovered them and I'm so glad I did!
It was also the year I finally binned my beauty blender sponges and invested in a grown-up foundation brush (a Shiseido one that is both eye-wateringly expensive and mind-bogglingly brilliant at using about two thirds less product to create a flawless, beautiful base).
I found my perfect foundation, and it's cheap as chips too - Catrice HD. All the good bits of Double Wear, with the added advantage of being my exact colour match. The dropper is horrible and the bottle gets messy but it's worth the hassle.
2018 was also the year that broke me out of my brown eyeshadow rut - Charlotte Tilbury's green eyeshadow quad (I think it's the Rebel palette?) is so fabulous and blends like a dream.
Now all I have to do is find my ideal eyeshadow brushes! There's a nice, achievable goal for 2019 😁

I've used that Hourglass palette pretty much everyday since I got it too, glad I got it! Still deciding on the Dyson. I have shorter curly/wavy hair and not sure how well it will work on my hair. It isn't in stock anyway at the moment. I really want it for the straightening brushes so am looking to see if there is an alternative product.

You should give the Lumene instant glow beauty serum a go - it’s absolutely amazing. It gives the healthiest glow to the skin instantly - I wear it under foundation every day. From the same brand the vitamin c serum is amazing as well.

Plenty of ideas to add to my ever growing Beauty/skincare wishlist now 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 have you tried Charlotte Tilburys Pretty Glowing Skin palette? I think it's exclusive to John Lewis? But it's sort of similar to the hourglass palette with 6 shades, face powder, bronze contour, 2 blushes & 2 highlighters. Perfect shades, perfect for travelling or everyday & I've hardly made a dent in it yet after nearly 2 months its so pigmented you hardly have to dab your brush in at all!

hmm i had to think about that for a few minutes but i have been loving the ordinary face moisturizer and the ha3 hand hydrator from the ordinary as well. i also really love the benefit mascara you showed.
i'm still looking for products that i love for my hair because i have fine curly hair. I also want to experiment more with the products from ordinary for my face.
