The Greatest Trans Am Ever Built? 7 foot wide, 700hp, 10,000rpm Track Ripper

  • This is our entire crew's favorite car of SEMA 2018: Riley Stair's WIDE and LOW (yeah, all caps) 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. But what's even better about the ridiculously good looking bodywork and batshit N/A motor, is the fact that Riley built and fabricated this thing himself in his parent's outdoor garage bay. Major props.

I expect that business card will do its job even better than he did his build. We will hear his name again! Great job dude. You flawlessly executed a ridiculously vicious build that still held true to the donors nostalgia. Cant say enough good. I think this is the most impressive build I have seen on this channel. If only for the build location, not to mention the final product.

People customized these body style camaros and pontiacs in the 80's with the wide body flares. It was tacky looking then and its cringey looking now. .....he did the opposite of the purpose of customizong cars, he actually made a nice looking car ugly. ....which is beyond me but whatever.

    • Hoonigan
      Hoonigan  17 days ago

When you increase track width going wide body is crucial. Most typical wide bodies make up the gap by increasing wheel size, at least this build had a purpose for performance.
