Spaghetti & Meatballs | Gennaro Contaldo | #MyFoodMemories | AD

One of Gennaro's favourite Food Memories is his father's Spaghetti & Meatballs, and he couldn't wait to tell us all about it. He knocks up this classic recipe, just like his Poppa would have, with two types of meat, fresh herbs and a delicious, slow-cooked tomato sauce. Delizioso! Check out more Food Memories here |

If this may be an "Ad" but I wish it was longer. Genaro could make any product placement into a masterpiece.

Four helps brown the meant giving it the flavoursome crust, and even Ramsay mixes pork and beef as takes flavour and moisture levels right up

well, I've never heard of adding flour and I'll try it next, and his recipe without the pork. for some reason ... as much as I love pork I hate it in meatballs. i like beef only. 10 years ago, I even ordered/tried a $50 plate of spaghetti and meatball in a famous Chicago restaurant and I couldn't eat it. it was disgusting like every other time I've tried it combined. However, their lasagna was to die for

Yes, some chefs actually recommend lunguini because it holds the sauce better.

This is one of my favorite cooking videos of all time it's exactly like My Italian uncle Tony made his. It is a phenomenon of old style Italian traditional cooking derives from trust me I grew up in this true Italian legacy of cooking many varieties.

This is my favorite homemade true Italian meatball recipe, He reminds me of my Uncle Tony who was a true Italian. When I would visit for the summer upstate N.Y. He & my Aunt Teresa would always make homemade spaghetti & meatballs & homemade Italian bread! OMG was it ever delicious & the sauce cooked all day long. We always had a fresh salad with the meal from their garden.

Sadly... spaghetti and meatballs is not italian. Spaghetti bolognese is, but that is spaghetti with a tomato and meat mince sauce.

I make my meatballs bigger so I don't have to make as many, but once they're cooked I cut them in half or thirds or fourths, depending on how big they are.
