I would like to thank all of those who are active duty officers from the police to all of the branches of the United States combat units for your service to our country, for without you, our nation would be a terrible place.

Edit: And why are Navy Seals commenting on this as if they have ever helped Americans during or after a natural disaster?

I've read Anne Frank's diary several times as a child and a teenager. Also the hiding-place about the ten boom's and their struggles in the concentration camp just for hiding Israelis they were not Jewish and they still went to the concentration camps. And I don't think people understand that that kind of stuff is what they were going to do to the citizens of the United States of America if HRC would have one. Y'all need to understand this it's very important they were going to exterminate us

What I dont understand is why our Country keeps building up the same wooden homes and power lines after a natural disaster hits. Shouldn't they learn from the past and find ways to divert water through canalization or ravines, and especially in areas with a high probability of disaster. Why not build stone houses and lay cables under the earth instead of building up the same weak wooden houses and power lines. I know it costs more money but in the long run you save money because were not having to rebuild whole towns afterwards.

How come they don't put the powerlines in the ground? I live in Denmark, and ALL powerlines are dug into the ground, expect the high voltage ones. but our 230v ones are. Which means, we have power even in storms. Only trains are affected, if a tree falls on the lines, but usually they cut the trees away, so they can't fall on the powerlines of the trains.

Because if the wires fail that means you have to dig down to the wires to fix it.
And really wires underground would take A LONG TIME there ate so many wire lines in Southeast US, actually there 20 wire line poles on my street. It would take forever.
Also if there were to be a flood and the wires are underground i think water can submerge the wires in water since there will be lots of pressure of water
