Vermilion Parish teacher gets arrested at Vermilion Parish school board meeting

  • Published on Jan 9, 2018
  • Teacher Deyshia Hargrave was questioning the school board how they can vote to give the superintendent a raise when school employees have not gotten a raise in years. Security officer from the parish Marshal’s Office told her to leave the room and he would soon arrest her in the hall and call the city police and put her in a patrol unit. The school board members in the video are (left to right) Laura Lebeouf, Chris Hebert, School Board President Anthony Fontana (doing most of the talking), Superintendent Jerome Puyau and school board member Chris Gautreaux.

It's a good thing they have that token black guy or they might be accused of being a bunch of racist old white people. You can see the black man for yourself if you look carefully. He is seated all the way to the right at the opposite end of the bench from where the portrait of Jeff Davis is hanging. You have to remember this is the South. The landed whites used to not have to pay the folks that worked for them anything so of course they are not going to want to pay them very much nowadays. To them that teacher just seems like a lazy ungrateful hussy! Why back in the good ole days they would have had her horse whipped and run out of town on a rail.

That is so sad I feel for these teachers.
Still the good ole boys club , where women have no say this shit broke my heart these teachers go above and beyond for our children and look at how THEY are treated FUCK them not the cop it's not his fault he's doing his job

  • Wᴀᴛᴄʜ Wʜɪʟᴇ Hɪɢʜ

"Do you have any specific numbers in mind for a raise?" then a few minutes later "We are not talking about raises." And even saying they don't want audience comments right after asking for them! I don't blame that lady for getting upset in the first place, nor did she sound belligerent in her first few comments. It's disgraceful that the school board would not directly take those comments with integrity, they really do have something to hide. (Reddit)

So much for the first amendment. Free speech applies directly to this - speaking out against a government agency (which a school board is a state funded government body). She should press felony charges against not only the officer but the board members who silenced her.

At least Russia is not hiding the fact that they are fucked up place run by manipulated media and a dictator. Americans still call their place a "free country". I guess Europe is gonna be next and I need to pack my shit and go live in Africa or something.

Can anyone say Condescending? You can see the mentality of the board of highly educated elites. In my walk of life I have learned that not one man can know everything and for one man to shut out the ideas of others, regardless of educational history, is not worth working with. If one person wants to take the responsibility of knowing it all and being the savior of the school district. Then that person should receive a substantial raise, but when the mistakes are made, you should hold their feet to the fire and they should be solely accountable. But that's not always the case. It seems to me that technology is exposing all the fraud and harassment a regular person endures just trying to get by. It is sad that the ones who sacrifice their lives to make a difference are the ones to be punished while the highly educated elites get away with scroogery. I hope in time humans will be aware of these fundamental, king of the hill, flaws and correct them for the betterment of mankind.

In this video you can see the separation of the wealthy and the rest of us. To believe that a $30,000 raise to one man in a $1000 suit makes sense. When you look at the teachers, mostly underpaid women in their wal mart clothes, you can see the corruption that Karl Marx was talking about. It is a blatant FU to the rest of us while the wealthy keep it close to their family and no one else. It is the internal conveyance of wealth that will destroy is.

WAKE UP. RedforED isn't working for the teachers. Or, they would have addressed this situation first.

The porn industry will probably get some of these .. No shortage of teacher applicants ... Teacher - Moms, cheating wives, cougars, milfs and you name it. One teacher in Canada used - "Bipolar Mood Disorder" for a defense and got only House Arrest, so all the horny pervert teachers might try using that for their defense now. It is certainly worth a try. Anyway, the list below is Just scratching the surface .. ((Note: These are just the ones who got caught !! )) lol -- This is (mostly married) female teachers. They should have some respect for their husbands & families, but yet they don't seem to! Those young teachers right out of school, shouldn't be anywhere near the higher grades and older students. Let teachers 55 and up teach the older students. Reporters need to stop calling the teachers - hot, the students - lucky and the offenses - affairs. Many of these (cheating) teachers are married with children! The last update - 2017. Desensitization .. Immorality & Violence?
Is all this thanks to the - The Pornification of Society?
I think Frank makes good points ..
    ( )
List could go on and on ..

She was asked to leave based on legal grounds and did not. She was then removed. Get mad all you want, nothing illegal happened. And for those of you saying she should 'sue' the school board, not only would she lose the lawsuit guaranteed, but she'd waste her own money in the process. Not to mention the fact that she'd be taking money out of the school system she says she cares so much about. Hmmph. A greedy liberal. What a surprise.

Who are all the old farts sitting around that table like a barrier to the school board and especially the one who spouted off it wasn't question time, just comments to the second woman's question about Puyau's performance evaluation? I would have said at that point that my question was rhetorical and therefore valid in the 'comment' section of their little meeting because no one was ever going to answer that, anyway. This is everything that is wrong with our education system structure. Educators are supposed to foster reasoned debate with their students. That should but obviously does not stretch to the school board level in this parish.

America is going up (or down) in flames. The sheep already drank the Kool-aid by letting Smartphones and Fake News do their thinking for them. Government officials arrogantly serve themselves or lobbyists --- they no longer represent the people. Corporations only care about profits. Stop buying their products and maybe they will begin to listen. It's time to radically change things and come back to decency and common sense. That can only happen if people take the time to be open minded to foster understanding, and to be courageous enough to speak up and speak out! Keep sharing this video until there is no longer a need.

Let's face it, though. We never see exactly what happened when this woman got arrested, and we never see who directed the officer to escort her out. The school board may have had specific policies that were being maintained, and while I agree that they were making some bad decisions, there is a major possibility that she was escorted out because of real reasons instead of her being a nuisance. Further, she was charged with something similar to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, not asking a question that they don't like. So since we never see the arrest, it is likely that he arrested her only after she repeatedly resisted she defied what he was told he needed to have her do. Before this, he was never aggressive, and afterward, he had to use force, because it was an arrest, but maintained a minimum amount of force to accomplish what needed to be done. He never swore at her, shoved her, hit her, and it is sometimes necessary to force someone on the ground if they are resisting an arrest, which in the case I've presented would be justified. Following, he told her not that she was being ridiculous or stupid or anything harmful, but instead that "You were refusing to do what I was trying to tell you to do, I was only telling you what I had to because (whatever circumstances are present that we don't see), and this is the situation we're in," proceeding to tell her "You need to calm down", which in the scenario I'm presenting would not be him being corrupt, but him trying to control the situation and calm everything as best he can. He proceeded to call back up not because of the five-foot-tall teacher he had arrested, but instead because he had a crowd of angry people around him and he was the only cop there. He called backup for his own safety.

This is America. Corruption happens in the highest office to the smallest unit of local government
