These tariffs are bad for the U.S. economy? Where? Record low unemployment, increased wages (not even mandated by the government) and low inflation. I'm not even a Trump fan and I can't complain about the economy.

Canada why do you think its ok for us to pay your tariffs but u not play pay ours?

    • Gary Holden
Gary Holden 27 days ago +1

Because your tariffs have been equal to or higher than ours? We wouldn't need tariffs if your dairy and others weren't so massively subsidized. Stop handing out the welfare payments, no need for tariffs.

+Onlinemamam Wom Perhaps it could just mean United States, Canada, Mexico, Agreement... that was until the fighting between Trump and Trudeau over dairy, steel and aluminum tariffs occurred and the new trade agreement went to USMCA, United States, Mexico, Canada, Agreement. Canada was put into third place as a slight to Justin

The news cast or the government aren't addressing the real problems of those tariffs! Those tariffs are extremely contradictory to the Canada United States relationship!

  • P M
    P M 27 days ago

The Canadian government should've actually been stern to the United States about how aggressive those tariffs were and responded reciprocally!

+M no he is destroying your country and makes the US look like a bunch of fools and uneducated hicks, racists, etc. The good thing is it's only the minority of Americans who are alt-right wing nuts. Won't be long but Trump will be gone and once again the US will finally be a great country under a sane person. Even Trump doesn't believe his own lies anymore. The man needs some serious mental health intervention.

There are SO many farmer subsidies on both sides of the border, and all I hear about is the 'dairy cartel'. Why is that?
In 2017, for instance, America gave nearly 30 BILLION in federal farm subsidies, about 70 times what Canada did, with only about 10 times the population. How does that factor into the "No free and fair trade when Canada...." statement?

    • pyrobooby smith
