GN Travel Vlog: Mountain Biking in Auburn, CA (Culvert, Confluence)

Took 8 hours off on Saturday to get some biking in, after working a brief 5 in the morning and 6 after the biking. This is a video that is completely unrelated to anything we do, other than a brief discussion of latency as it applies to bikes. This is a first for us, and we may or may not do these occasionally as we continue traveling. Given how much travel there has been this year, we figured we might as well throw together a vlog-style video. Just to be clear: I paid for this portion of the trip. For years now, since probably ~2011/12, I've tacked-on biking trips at the end of long business trips. This year, I haven't gotten a chance to do that since AMD, NVIDIA, EVGA, and CES were all so tightly packed together. This has been the first chance so far! ^SB
Might spin off another channel at some point for more vlog-style stuff. Let us know what you think. We are not trying to do a lot of these. Should be pretty rare.

It is nice to see you like this, Steve. I am a cyclist myself, I might ride a bit slower on that last downhill, such a small path and the height...

The last time you talked about biking I commented about Lethbridge in Alberta. That shot at the beginning when you're talking is super reminiscent of the coulees, just a bigger train bridge. The only difference with ours is really the beaver dam at the base of the one of the bridge supports, but that's Canada ;)
I used to ride a Norco Manic but it was unfortunately stolen ... now I know that I'll have to get a new bike before I come to one of the events you're at on the off chance that we get the chance to ride, I'd love to check out some new spots and you must have a good idea of a few places after travelling so much.
Awesome video, looking forward to more of this type of stuff.

Beauty trails there. Spring has finally sprung here in the rockies but trails still not ready. Taking the Anthem out this weekend I hope. I am jealous of your weather!

In my humble opinion, it would be nice to see more of these on occasion - maybe monthly - on this same channel. It's nice to see you guys like this; see more sides of you all than just the more professional personas you deliver in your regular content :)
That said, I understand that ultimately it's your guys' channel, so it's your guys' call.

This video is biased....that's clearly an [insert favorite brand here] bike. Poor competitor. You definitely gotta do this more often. Personal time is important and part of a healthy life diet.

If you ever are up that way again check out mammoth bar or Forrest hill both are really close to where you filmed this. I ride my dirt bike up there but they also have really good mountain bike trails. Awesome single track goodness!
