They have some stuff comparable to some of my stuff. I have some stuff older than they do, but the really old stuff is at Schimpffs in Indiana, or ye old candy store in Salem. We are pikers.

Love your channel. Only advice I could give would be to use a pop shield when recording the narration. It'll filter out the popping p's and hissing s's. I'm going to your website now to order some candy!

Amazing how both of you candy makers have respect for each other because you are in the same business. you're not like Wonka or Slugworth lol. Because how amazing your candy looks and you included their candy store too. I will be doing some online ordering from both candy stores in the near future.

  • Cam Good

Is that why they're called drops? I never thought about it, but it makes sense (I imagine that the same is true for gumdrops, since they are probably made with a similar machine.).

Schimpffs' red hots are the best in the world, bar none. No Easter or Christmas in Kentuckiana would be complete without a bag or twelve of those wonderful red hots. Buyer beware though, they are RED HOT! Folding the flavor in on the table means each red hot is a whole new experience. Will this one be a mildly cinnamony sugar sweet, or a flaming ball of pain so hot it literally makes your ears pop (No joking, that has happened to me while eating one of these). So glad I live in Southern Indiana so I can go grab a bag of these to enjoy/torture myself with whenever I want!

I hope you come and find a taffy shop in Utah. Salt Lake City used to be known for its salt water taffy. My aunts who have moved away insist you can't find taffy as good anywhere else. I don't know if anyone still makes it in a historically accurate manner. And after watching your video I'm not sure Utah salt water taffy can hold a candle to Roman Chewing Candy.
