It was not a goal, and I agree with the rule. I can understand if the player had his arms close to his body, but that wasn't the case. Besides, City had 3-4 clear cut chances that they absolutely mucked up.

People complained about how many goals were allowed even though a foul, handball or offside had occured and people WANTED VAR.... now that it is used, they hate it because it affects their team. only when it benefits the team do people appreciate it. what a joke fans are.

To all the morons in the comment section stop trying to blame VAR for this. The rule clearly states that if the hand/arm is used during the build up leading to the goal than the goal is not to be allowed, even if the contact is unintentional. That was exactly what happened and the call was 100% correct. You cannot blame VAR for getting the call correct. Now, you can blame the people who made the new rule but it won't change the result of the game.

Unpopular opinion here, I’m not a hater and I actually like City. VAR here was necessary and that call was correct. Calls like that are why it is needed. That was a clear handball, and there’s no denying it.

33 Shots on Goal to 2 doesn't equal a ( Win ) , because your team just couldn't get it done . Get it done , Then Complain to the Officials . Whiner Boy didn't get his goal .......so sad. Welcome to The NFL .

I predicted that Jesus would score because remember two years ago on Jesus debut. He scored but it was offside. And it was the exact situation 2-2 . So I thought he was going to get his "revenge" but I thought he would score and it would be an inch inside and they would have a 10 minute review that everyone was going to be angry. Guess I was almost right but you can't right this stuff even if you tried

That unintentional handball had no bearing on the play. A player could have both hands behind his back, clasped together, get hit in the side of his arm, and have a goal disallowed. That makes no sense.

It hit him on the arm. So wtf are they bitching about? Intentional or unintentional it is a hand ball. If it's intentional its a yellow, and if it isn't then stop the play. How wack do you have to be, to want to win via hand ball??

    5 Takeaways:
    1. KDB is back in full force.
    2. Sterling is the best winger in the Prem.
    3. Edison was terrible this match.
    4. VAR will decide the Prem this season (if it hasn’t already).
    5. Gabriel Jesus has finally broken through and seems comfortable as the number 9 (despite his on and off inclusion in starting XI)
