Mmmmm indeed, but do not forget all that our Lord has graced us with.
Just wanted to write that you should use this format more often. I know its not your style but at least from time to time, really refreshing after seeing John Wick talking about stuff so many times.
penguinz0 you forgot Ricochet scrub. That game was awful and valve knows it
Jvt PS :)
@JordyT1998 It's cool man. I was honestly just replying to the author of the video and failed to see your comment. I can understand the confused lol.
90% of the comments are full of people begging for a update on tf2 and hoping valve can learn the letter three.
clearly you've never heard of ricochet because Artifact isn't valves only failure
90% of comments are about TF2
Why do you keep coming back to this!? im not saying stop shitting on it because i fucking love it when you shit on things that deserve it. but its super funny that you just keep coming back to this over and over lol
I didn't even know this game had been released.
Artifact? More like Stinkyfact Epic
Valves next project should be. Half life 3the card game.
Moron fat GabeN deserves to lose money. Pathetic greedy piece of shit worked with greasy slimeball Richard Garfield on this hot garbage mess.
You forgot Blizzard. Up to Immortal you were NOT allowed to talk negatively about anything they've made.
and they still won't update TF2...
My main class is random crits
3:35 It's hilarious how everyone got super excited when they saw a new IP from Valve with the swelling music and all that, and then, 'The Dota trading card game' appeared, and everyone was instantly disappointed.
Fix Techies please
"The most powerful card is credit card"
Watching this just made me realize how much Bethesda has fallen lol
The only way to recover from this is to release a sequel to any of the following games:1) Half-Life 2: Episode 22) Portal 23) Counter-Strike: Global Offensive4) Team Fortress 25) Left 4 Dead 26) Ricochet (the best Valve game)
“Artifact”Everyone: “Yes! A new VALVe game!”“A Dota Card game”Everyone: “oh wait nvm this is shit”
Artifact was a legitimately fun card game. I get the feeling most people didn't actually play it.
Opened this video expecting Ricochet. I guess we don't talk about Ricochet...
bro artifacts issue was that it was several years late to card games.
HALF LIFE 3 COMING ON VR
5:35 CDPR. The witcher 3 had this issue with me. I critized it for having a kinda clunky combat system with great lore and music, and i was fuckin thrashed by everyone.
To be fair tho, Hearthstone used to be EVEN MORE lucrative, during its peak, a peak valve missed by like 4 YEARS! The card game trend died before artifact was even concieved, but it still happened, because of all the shit that gets cancelled inside valve, this drivel must have been that one thing that didn't. Half life 3 suffocated in its sleep, because they weren't satisfied with it, and THIS SHIT releases, like this?
I mean I believe the biggest problem with Artifact is how Valve mocked us with this piece of shit. They basically released it in the month of Half-Life's 20th anniversary.
Valve: "We used to makes games, now we make money."
are you forgetting ricochet
Gabe Newell looks like the fat version of John Lennon.
think of the TF2 localization files they could've updated instead of developing artifact...
Meh, Valve can go fuck themselves unless they make another great FPS game. I don’t give two shits about card games or MOBAs or whatever. I want an interesting narrative with creative and new game mechanics, not another card game.
Artifact is such a frustrating contradiction for me. Valve's policy has always been "our desks have wheels. If our employees don't like the game they're working on, they can just switch games." In the past this resulted in their games being delayed multiple times but being amazing when they did release -- it was basically the antithesis of "crunch" periods every other developer had, which I don't think is a coincidence. However, with Artifact this resulted in nobody sticking around to develop it. Everybody who was supposed to work on it was busy messing around with the seventeenth iteration of their VR goggles and that The Lab demo. From what I've heard, this is not what happened to Episode 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. The latter was actually _finished_ but subsequently sabotaged by internal politics, while the former has been restarted multiple times. Meanwhile TF2's team is just under a ton of stress, because when they ask what the community wants they get every answer possible (finish the comics, finish the animated shorts, new game modes, new weapons, new maps, new hats, etc.) -- so they lock themselves in their office for three years to make an enormous game-changing update, rather than just work on one thing at a time and release them when they're done
Dear Valve, you don't need to try to strike gold-... Just make games.
I really like this style of videos
How many refunds tho that's my question daddy
I enjoyed Artifact, I just think it was the pay-gate on-top of RNG that turned people off.
If Valve had played Roller Coaster Tycoon they would’ve realized you can’t charge people at the gate and charge people for individual rides
you will play half life 3 after world war 3.
I am glad you aren't like most people doing videos like these just shitting on all of the multiplayer Valve games instantly
I'd never even heard of this game before this video
Someone could just shoot up Valve HQ or bomb it to the ground and nothing of value would be lost. It would actually be a net gain, especially if Artifact devs somehow managed to not kill themselves for this long.Hell, why aren't we doing it right now? Artifact wasn't just a colossal failure of a video game, no; it was a menace. A malicious contraption that was designed to suck money out of people and push them into despair. The polar opposite of a 'fun experience'. Artifact is definite evidence that Valve are a group of cyber terriorists ready and willing to pull scams on millions. The worst part is that they almost got away with it, had it not been for the fact that the """""game""""" was so atrociously appaling, it even drove away paid personalities and shills. And yet Artifact devs are still alive and kicking. The biggest criminals got away scot free. Seeing how they apparently weren't ashamed and embarrassed enough to end themselves, those spawns of hell are probably plotting another scam, possibly worse than Artifact. And they aren't just bad developers. Look at the photo of the release party; they brought children! Brought children to a private party! They are pedophiles, for God's sake! There is absolutely no reason for us as a society to let them live any longer. Valve needs to go down. Artifact devs must die. It is the duty of a functioning civilization to purge the greater evil before it can do more harm.
I think you forgot ricochet
Yeah they should do some research on what their clients want... If only there were like a sequel or something that people would want. If only people were more vocal about it, they just never say anything!
HAHA GABEN UR GAME SHIT
Wait? They never fixed Artifact? That's sad
Steam is my religion. Valve is my saviour, gabe is my god.
You say Valve probably won't ever make a game again but they've already released one since Artifact called Dota Underlords and have a major VR game planned for this year.
i wouldnt say epic or origin compete with steam but otherwise good vid
MOBA family is like: Og DotA and DotA All-stars: The parentsLeague of Legends: annoying popular kid who thinks he's doing everything right but really he doesn't.DotA2: Is his year younger sister who goes through the emo phase.Heroes of the Storm is their retarded little brother. And Heroes of Newerth was this egdy kid from the neighborhood who's mom was an anti-vaxer.
I mean steam also gave us DRM. I'd say that alone makes Valve the devil
Imagine thinking valve was ever good when their first game piggybacked on the quake engine.
*Don't forget about Freeman*
I didnt even know this game existed
Honestly I'm afraid for the future of games valve will probably never develop. They sit on a cash cow and release updates for games people actually play cause they're no longer capable of developing anything that actually provides sustenance to the player. The Valve model of saying you can jump job to job doesn't work and it's been apparent since their last proper release Portal 2.
Video game Twitter dumped on this game so hard
TBH I didn't know that it actually released.
