Corn Harvest with a NEW CLAAS LEXION 7500 | Day 25

  • Published on Oct 27, 2019
  • Claas Lexion 7500 demo and George’s Birthday
The day starts out like most at Brown Farm with a change of plans. Then we have some issues at the grain bins before finally getting started. We start in on a 122 acre corn field that has a personal test plot of 9 different types of corn. After we eat dinner we get a cool surprise when a new Claas Lexion 7500 on terratracs shows up. We harvest with it for the rest of the evening and park our Claas Lexion 740s

How many acres do you farm.

Sensors on claas will always be rubbish as they are for claas. If it where John Deere you would have no problem even with case but John Deere is the best and always will be. Why do you even have the brand claas on your farm?

My dad had to go through new training for the new CLAAS combines. He puts together lexion grain tanks here in Omaha, NE. The transition from the 700 series to the new harvester is throwing him off a little.

No they aren’t official plots it’s just a way for us to see different varieties of seed and how they preform in our field. We bought all the seed and have it planted in other places

Ran a case 9250 last year that had the clean out feature like that and loved it. Back to Deere 790’s now that don’t have it. The clean out feature saves a shear bolt for sure!

The last time (1991) I ran a combine (a class one) it didn’t have a cab on it. Lovely machine though, 15ft header. Big then!
Not wanting to sound pedantic and I may be mis hearing but are you pronouncing Claas as claus? I thought it was just “class”
Do love those new machines though.

I put camera's on our JD 8820 this year. One is on right side of the combine for the same reason you put one on yours. I'm still getting used to the view but I love it so far. I put another one on the spout to see if I'm centered when unloading. It also serves as a backup camera on the road. Another one I put on the right side looking down on the fuel tank so I safely back up to our fuel supply. They're not AgCams but they do a good job. & they was under $150.

The only gripe I have about the CLAAS colors is the red wheels. Paint it the pale green or the white or maybe black and it would look much better.

We run a pair of 760 tt . It's nice to see claas listen and fix all the issues we have with the minion machines. The chopper drives and slow augers ECT. The new ones look to be quite the monsters. A feller can dream I guess.
