    I remember every little thing
As if it happened only yesterday
    Parking by the lake
And there was not another car in sight
And I never had a girl
Looking any better than you did
And all the kids at school
They were wishing they were me that night
And now our bodies are, oh, so close and tight
It never felt so good, it never felt so right
And we're glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife
Glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife
    C'mon, hold on tight
    C'mon, hold on tight
Though it's cold and lonely in the deep dark night
I can see paradise by the dashboard light

This song is absolutely phenomenal. Meatloaf is truly a musical genius. Everything about this music video is a total masterpiece. The aesthetic, the choreography, the vocals... both Ellen and Meatloaf have a natural chemistry and amazing voices. Not to mention the song is so fun, too. A timeless classic.

Let me tell you about Star and I on New Years 1999, it was our wedding night and we sang this song as the clock counted down the last 10 minuets. If the world did not end then we were stuck together but it was not forever then.

What a great coming of age duet by Mr. Loaf and the sultry Ellen Foley. Great voices. Remembrances of my somewhat feeble attempts in my back seat dad's '70 Torino with my first girlfriend. And how 'things' escalated so quickly. I remember brief conversations with her along the lines of, 'I am not sure we should do this' but our horniness won out every time.
What really struck upon hearing this song the first time was the absolutely hilarious ending. When I heard, 'So now I'm praying for the end of time to hurry up and arrive...' I thought what a great way to end the song with the heartfelt regrets by both of them of that night so long ago. And I said, fuckin eh.

I love the look of creeping fear followed by anger creeping across his face as they back and forth about getting Married. It makes sense why he always called himself an actor, not a singer. He was a hell of a singer, and a hell of an actor. Both of them were. It’s a damn shame I wasn’t alive to see them in their prime.
