  • What is water fasting? What are its benefits? Intermittent fasting is gaining huge popularity as a dietary option, but what actually happens to your body when you fast? When I first heard about water fasting, I thought, “No way am I doing this!” But after doing some research and finding out about the benefits of this process, I changed my mind. And now I'm going to tell you what I experienced during my 20-day water fast.
    The first 2 days were going to be the most difficult. And they were indeed! I felt incredibly hungry - almost as if I had missed several breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. My energy level dropped, and my mood left much to be desired. I was increasingly irritated, and my patience was wearing thin.

    SUMMARY:
    - When your body can't get access to carbohydrates (its favorite source of energy), it starts to use stored fats. As a result, you can lose about 1 lb of fat every day. This makes water fasting one of the most effective short-term weight loss methods.
    - Water fasting can also help if you have digestive problems like irritable bowel, diarrhea, gas, gastritis, constipation, or loss of appetite.
    - The first 2 days were going to be the most difficult. I felt incredibly hungry - almost as if I had missed several breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
    - On the third day, the second stage of my water fasting began. By that time, the much-awaited process of ketosis had started. That's when your body gets down to burning the fat it has stored as it has no other sources of energy.
    - After the first week of feeding myself nothing but water, I experienced a kind of “fasting high.” I felt great, happy, and impressively energetic. But what pleased me the most was a particular clarity of mind.
    - When I got to the fifteenth day of my water fasting, I was incredibly proud of myself! I knew that very few people reach this stage. I also knew that this was a period when I had to be immensely attentive to my condition and visit a doctor if I felt that something had gone wrong.
    - Believe it or not, I felt at my best after my water fast. I lost some weight (though not as much as I’d expected). My vitals were impressive in a good way, and some health abnormalities were no longer a cause for concern.

      Being a breatharian Me and my family including my 2 and 4 year olds haven't had any type of food for about 3.5 years, except for my 2 year old obviously. It took her a few months for her body to get used to using oxygen as sustenance .

    Datas with sugar, BP, cholestrol and other vitals for every day of fasting would be more precise than saying i felt great. This video feels very superficial and misguiding.

    *Basically* Day 1-2 she felt irritated felt like she didnt eat, body used less energy, exercised will power
    Days 3 -7 ketosis happened stoped feeling hungry felt less tired started to loose weight
    Days 8 -14 felt happy and energetic, blood pressure was lower
    Days 5-20 felt active, became weaker.

    I have done pretty much every type of fast including once a week and once for 6 weeks ( on oranges).1 ) I found your typical.👍2) Excellent fast breaker tomato juice. 3) found juice( organic & diluted( fast just as effective as water and overall more pleasent. 4) once a week great as gives system chance to "rest". The problem is as the 1st day is the hardest motivated trpes ( types that would fast) kind'a want to keep going😊 5) On a "long" fast- actually longer than 10 daysnor so- best to be able to take it easy and maje up for it on the high energy days. This goes in a few day cycles. Your body will definately guide you on this. 6) Long fasts maybe 2x/ yr. Kudos on your fast!

    This just downright dangerous and in my opinion is promoting eating disorders! Yes all the "warnings" about consulting your doctor and who should and shouldn't be doing it was in there but this give ideas to people desperate to lose weight or those vulnerable to eating disorders! Its just irresponsible to post this there are much more healthy ways to lose weight the right way and in the end quick UNHEALTHY fixes don't last!

    Please don't do this without medical supervision or at the very least, look further than this video for information.
    We might have been doing this thousands of years before it became trendy on youtube, but this feels like it's being marketed as a good way to loose weight even though other reasoning's are mentioned.
    I'm sorry to tell you that the only healthy way for you to loose weight is through diet and exercise.
    I know how annoying that process can be. If you still feel like it's something you want to do please note that when you're doing this you have to rest the entire time.
    *No work, no school, no exercise, complete rest.* If that's not something you can do, then you shouldn't be trying this.
    I'm not the type of person to try to tell others what to do, but irresponsible videos like this truly upset me.

    You were able to work at office 10 hours a day and go to the gym and do all your daily routines just like normal . . . huh. . . i couldnt even squeeze a lemon with my hands after the second day

    Instead of total fasting i recommend eating at least one fruit per day to get the water soluble vitamins because they are NOT STORED in body and we still need them every day. Also better way to prevent aging is eating anti-oxidants (Berries and veggies) and exercising

    umm no, fasting simply doesn't improve immune system. Starved animals and humans are more vulnerable to diseases. Also fasting 20 days and then eating a lot can damage kidneys. Small fast is not bad tho but i doubt there will be happy feelings, more like craving and dreaming about food

    I fast for 60days...its my best...im muslim and we must fast for 30days on the month of ramadan...i fast 30+ days to see how best i can do....fasting is really cool...it helps to take controle of ur body and heart...it cures 100s to 1000s of small to big diseases in ur body...in ramadan we eat our foods 3to4 AM after that we wont eat nor drink till the 6:30PM...first 3days its tough after that u will get used to it....do fasting its really usefull and advance happy ramadan to all of my family in this world...may this ramadan bring joy&peace to everyone;)
    Note:-once u took controle of ur body u feel like ur body is floating in the air while u do excercise....i dont know how to describe it but this is the way i felt;)

    Just a tip, ive done this several times 3 weeks before summer. To last long or hang on the fasting, sleep!!!! And drink water, while sleeping you loose weight also and it’s more easy just saying.

    Dr sebis first fast was 90 days. David Blaine fasted for a long time too. You can fast for months if you’re healthy mentally and physically but you need to find someone who has done it before to guide you.
