speaking of stock performance, been using my 2700x for around a year now.. stock clocks 3.7ghz, 22c idle temp and have seen 4.7ghz at 56c max...... extremely impressed with these chips. would love to get my hands on the 3950x

silverstone SG13 is much better option, same hardware 3900x + 1080ti mini, in SG13 you can install a X42 AIO cooling with 140mm radiator and 140mm fan, I replaced the default X42 fan with noiseblocker eloop b14 and the highest CPU temp in aida stresstest is 85°

It's funny, I enjoy this channel but I have no idea what to watch. Click bait titles have ruined searching for interesting videos on the channel. Most interesting videos while scrolling down were the not wan show because I know the context of the video. Just a thought.

Why not putting a 90mm inside next to the gpu ? Looks better than the 120 outside ^^'

I recently bought a cooler master liquid cooling system with 120mm radiator aio,and im planning to use the 3700x for my system with nearly the same specs (except for size😂😂😂) but i want to oc 4.4 at max on all cores and it seems i might get a higher temp by 70°

Question, can I use the recently released Ryzen 3 3200G to upgrade the Asus ROG Strix X470 to update bios to support the Gen 3 Ryzen 3900x? It’s a bit confusing because the Ryzen 3 3200G is a new chip yet it’s a Gen 2.

So if i wanted to go a little more budget, instead of the aio, in your opinion, do you think i would be able to go with two noctuo fans instead? Prolly gonna go with a ryzen 7 btw instead too.

Try dropping the voltage until the clock speed starts to drop and bring it back to the last good voltage and your temps will drop even more. I was idling at 40-50c on my r9 3900x before I did that and jumping up to 85c as soon as I would hit it with a load. I have a be quiet dark rock slim and this helped me drop temps down to mid 30s at idle and full load only ever made it up to 71c peak on one core. I do have a much bigger case with very good airflow but I expect you should see numbers pretty similar to that after you drop the voltage down.

Trying to make the smallest high power system is like seeing how long you can keep you crotch over an open flame.... 1) nobody cares. 2) It is pointless, serves NO purpose and does more harm then good in every way.
Micro systems are for people who think smaller is somehow making you cool, but in reality, it makes you a try hard/fail more, again, for no reason

Optimum tech has been doing some low voltage tweaking on the 3900x - may improve thermals without too much loss in rendering performance- if it's about being a good portable work machine?

Maybe using a low profile air cooler is better with that kinda case pushing hot air from PSU and cooler altogether, so it's going to be an oven.

Both of them have colorful backgrounds with dumbfounded reaction faces placed next to whatever they're working on, and both of their titles are coy to the actual project (clickbait). C'mon Kyle, step it up and have some originality

I haven't seen this mentioned in videos yet but the 3900x has an ECO mode in the bios. you CAN set the 3900x to 65 watts in the bios and have a low power low heat part for micro systems. but honestly if you tune the 3900x it can run VERY COOL at full speed my 3900x runs 65c in prime 95 at under 100 watts getting a 3277 r15 score so these cpus are very impressive you just have to play with offset voltage to get these results for me I could go to -.106v offset to get these results beyond that performance regressed. but if you don't mind losing a little perf you can goto -.2v and it will run ice cold 100% stable zen 2 is incredible for how tunable it is if you don't mind sacrificing a little perf it can run at VERY LOW VOLTAGES

Yeah but you didn't use the specific AIO from Asetek (the 645LT) made for the Dan A4 case

  • CJRhoades
    CJRhoades 4 months ago

You might want to take a look at your liquid temps with that thing running full bore. Asetek says liquid temps above 60C will eventually damage the cooler and you might be getting close to that with 90C CPU temps.
