Spineless is continuing to hawk and pretend to use products that you must know by now are dodgy as fuck, but every few videos like clockwork insert RAID promo and you lending your credibility and name to a slot machine manufacturer.

And it's sssooo supporting blitzchung and Hong Kong because exposing blizzard makes China do something sad when players and devs can see this issue outside there hate on companies eye sight :/ it's sickening I always thought most of the gaming community had more brains :/

How is that news anyone and everyone who plays blizzard games knows about 70% of entire player base is Chinese on a companies side of things can u afford a ban and lose 70% of player base and losing 70% of profit making company shrink till world of Warcraft is only game with working servers because company doesn't have income to keep all games and the devs busy and has to do a 70% company lay off

      POTATOEMPN 3 months ago

Damnit Philip, I have to disagree with you once here. Blizzard is not saying that money is more important than free speech.
The dude violated a legally binding contract, that he signed, and said some shit that he just should not have.
He could have said "All hail the new 5th Reich, LONG LIVE HITLER" and he would have gotten the same punishment.
They gave him a chance to be sportsman-like, and he failed. He could have left with a "Yeah, I had fun. The decks were well made, and it was a great time competing here at the professional level" and nothing would have happened. No breach of contract.

Personally, I am glad he spoke up. Him saying that, is now being seen by millions, if not billions.
But no matter what the cause, he broke the contract, and got the punishment.

Think of it from the other side as well. Blizzard is owned by Activision. Activision is in business with TenCent. TenCent represents about 37% of Activision's annual income. TenCent has pull. If they left the deal with Activision, Activision would have to put thousands, IF NOT HUNDREDS-OF-THOUSANDS of their employees out of work.
Could you imagine the economic crisis that would arise if that happened?
What is the balance of costs here? Thousands of families now probably going bankrupt, and losing everything they own?
Dozens of people from Hong Kong being kidnapped and tortured for just having a different view on politics?
No matter what, somebody is going to get fucked, and the best decision to make would be the one that has the least amount of causalities.
This whole issue is bigger and more important than some dipshit violating his contract. And to be honest, I am 100% sure he knew that would happen. Good Noodle star to him for doing it. But he could have cost hundreds-of-thousands of people their very livelyhood. However, him speaking up? Probably did nothing particularly productive.

I wonder which is worse: North Korea or China? People of both countries suffer tremendously, except North Korea does not have as much influence in the world as China. I'd have to say China is by far worse than North Korea.

U people grandstand while not looking at the mirror. U guys pointing the finger at China and calling them the bad guy is the same as ISIS calling Boko haram the bad guys 😒

Even Mark Kern (The main person in the making of the original version "vanilla" of World Of Warcraft) cancelled his monthly subscription and has stated that he is 100% with Hongkong in this one.
Even the maker of the game that (for a huge part at least) made blizzard this big now, has disassociated with them because of their statements and actions, good going Blizzard ... good going.

In my opinion, even with them cropping out her face it's still an invasion of privacy. Not to mention it's the pot calling the kettle black, they claim she's unprofessional for having a photo of herself in a bikini, but what's the context? Is she at the beach? Is she on holiday? These are all valid reasons for having a picture of yourself in somewhat revealing clothing. Meanwhile they then take this photo without her permission and post a very opinionated statement that is 100% public. They sound like the unprofessional ones here. Not to mention their name literally has a cuss word in it.
Now I'm not one to shy away from swearing, but I'm not going to call my company 'cunt snatchers r us'.
All in all they need to fire their pr team, this is a very serious blunder.

refrain from talking about sth you don't know. and show respects to others, esp when you want to enter and be the guests there, it's rude to slap the faces of the hosts and hypocript to claim freedom to do so. and fundamentally, racist to said it's all about money and human right! Chinese are human but maybe not in your white racists eyes.

    HK as off now.
    Many protesters sexually assaulted,including rape
    780 minors arrested
Many officers dress as protesters and commit vandalism and violent acts to give legal excuses to crack down with arrests and middle fingers.
    108 mysterious unidentified deaths
No marks on bodies and HKPD claim it’s suicide
Most likely and tragic conclusion, executed by police, for protesting for democracy and human rights.

Reported uses of hydrogen cyanide gas used in tear gas,Lethal to humans, violation of international law and counts as chemical weapons use.
Metro raids by police even Attack innocent bystanders who aren’t even involved in Protests.

Yeah that was just slut shaming. Seriously, she didn't send her bikini photo to them in her portfolio, they also didn't have the right to use her photos. They didn't ask permission, and I think she could totally sue them.

Of course people in Yahoo are agreeing with the business... that place is full of boomers!
Who in their right mind would think that a business has any right to relate a person's personal affairs to how they behave in a professional environment?? When I apply for I job, I send my LinkedIn profile and a curriculum, not my God damn snapchat stories...!

One day China is just going to rule the world through money alone. They would have the whole world bend over backwards for them without having to lift a finger. Soon we’ll be replacing our nations flags with the Chinese flag because they paid us to. It’s a truly pathetic situation when you have American companies and organizations like the NBA sucking Chinese dick for that extra bit of communist money. I personally hope the Chinese government just implodes one day, or the Chinese people grow a pair and overthrow their garbage government.

I think keeping your social media profile business friendly is good, and posting a bathing suit picture is completely fine. I guess a little unprofessional for an account being shared with work, but it’s nothing worth literally shaming a woman for. And posting it on their story? Really? That’s more unprofessional than a bikini pic.

China is a very real threat to western values. Their idea of living is very different. US fact any western company should be VERY careful when dealing with China. They are 'different'. Let them have theirs. If they want western content, they can have it BUT without censorship - we don't do that here!
