Usually, the main purpose of learning the Russian language is the ability to communicate with native speakers. But for some reason, it's extremely difficult to become fluent. Even if you know Russian grammar and vocabulary, even if you've been learning this language for years, you still might be struggling with awkward pauses when it comes to a real conversation.
Maybe you start a phrase, but you hesitate every time because you're not sure how to express your thought in Russian. You know perfectly well how to say it in your language, but you're just not 100% sure how to translate it. As a result, you are slow and shy - far from feeling fluent.
Enough! Today I'm going to give you the first tip on learning the Russian language: how to learn thinking directly in Russian and how to eliminate hesitation when you speak.
Most students believe that thinking in any foreign language is difficult, or that it's a special gift. And in reality thinking in Russian is a skill that even beginners can learn and practice! Long story short, here are the step by step instructions on how to think in Russian.

When I saw the title “Think in Russian”, all I could think of was the scene from the film “Firefox”, where Dr. Baranovich tells Mitchell Gant he must “Think in Russian” when using the thought guided systems onboard the MiG-31 prototype airplane. 😸

Все таки на сколько легче понимать русских англоговорящих чем нативов. 99% сказанного понял, будь это натив понял бы процентов 80.

That’s good advice, when I get better at Russian I will definitely use it. My issue right now is that I have no issue speaking crappy Russian. But I cant understand when someone speaks russian to me. They either speak too fast, or the ending is different and I cant recognize the base word.

I'm German and I remember the time I noticed I was thinking in English (I got really excited) that was the time I began to really begin to get fluent in English
But it kinda went from really helpful to not that great sine I only thought in English and needed to translate it to German again😅😂😂 but now I'm fluent in both languages and it's great

I've been learning with the Duolingo app and it's great, but I definitely know the problem is that I'm incorporating it into my life like what this video talks about. I can see the words and know what they mean but my response time to sentences is way too slow because I have to think, translate, and rearrange in my head. I can't believe I didn't think about just speaking it in my head as I look around my environment and go about my day.
