R.I.P GEORGE H.W BUSH, the United States and the Union Pacific have done a remarkable story on our 41st President, for a person that has shown his leadership and character it is humbling. I would like to take this time to say thank you, especially to Union Pacific, where my Father Carlos R. Medina(Chale) MPX 51 Crane worked those rails, bridges, and yards of the Union Pacific for many years, he was assigned to a bridge gang(crew) and when UP 4141 came across it gave me much pride that my Father worked for a great company in that region and very proud of Him and very Honor that I served under President George H. W. Bush.. God Bless America and everyone that moves America.

I had totally missedbwatching any TV coverage and Facebook coverage and didn't get to keep up with and look at Facebook pics my friends were sharing either; too busy with recording my music to try and watch during that time! I culdnt keep up with where the UP#1943 was traveling through either I had so badly wanted to see come through Kansas City! I had a specially made UP jacket made embroidered with the UP Shiled over the left breast pocket and the large UP Shield embroidered on back with the #1943 Veterans Locomotive embroidered over the UP Shield I wore to attend UP Golden Spike celebrations! It was stolen right out of our rental van when we were unloading our luggage at our hotel in Ogden last May 8, 2019. What has become of either #4141 and #1943 since the funeral train? I had hoped that #1943 would be the locomotive used to dynamic brake the Big Boy and 844 doublehead to Golden Spike---why I got my jacket to wear! And I wonder why #1943 wasn't also used in their last outing with the Big Boy on their Midwest Run tour?
