Technically Jump was Van Hagar, not Van Halen. Brandon had the right idea of who Van Halen was.

    • equinox212
      equinox212 9 months ago +4

WRONG IN SO MANY WAYS!!!. "Jump" was from the last album "1984" of the original line-up (Eddie & Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony and David Lee Roth). The next Album 5150 had Sammy Hagar as the new lead singer of Van Halen informality referred to as Van Hagar. Go to Wikipedia and find out the proper info before you answer or read old Rolling Stone Magazines and explore music before the internet

I don't think it would go over well for entertainment purposes in this format, though. There is no guarantee that these kids fed a diet of post-millennial top 40 pop would react with anything more positive than indifference, and also these groups don't have large enough audiences to generate the kind of clicks this channel aims for. Based on the tastes of most of the featured commenters, I don't think they would be very enthusiastic. A 'do they know' video in which no one knows any song or even likes them just wouldn't work. A 'millennials react to punk music' might work okay, though. But it couldn't be ALL Fugazi and Minor Threat.

    • Ernesto Viltord
      Ernesto Viltord 9 months ago

@moonlily1 to spread knowledge about it. Each of these groups left a significant mark in the development of music and culture of its time. I watch dozens of different songs from this show, which no one knows and they means nothing. You know, I'm very interested to talk about this, really. I got acquainted with the creativity of MacKaye about two years ago and I can safely say that it changed my approach to life
