Munkhbayar Boldbat the vaccum pulls the water up as the air is removed from the tank the pressure is opposite to and normal fish tank water will remain there untill he lifts the tank up out of the pond for cleaning

      Shrek Wazowski 10 months ago

You can just buy a fish tank, then build a frame for that to stand, glass stays in place due having air trapped inside, you can try this in your house...... Just fill your sink up get a plastic cup, put the plastic cup upside down and dip it in water and pull up slowly you will feel some tension if done properly

    • Shrek Wazowski
      Shrek Wazowski 10 months ago

Jeremy Walter you would build the frame he did, the size depends on your body of water, and the frame( and aquarium ofcourse needs to be touching and being covered by water by atleast 2-3 inches to be on the safe size or more its up to you, then you just stick the hose underneath the aquarium like he did and use a vacuum to suck the "air" which causes the water to rise due to air being decreased by the vacuum
      :P

water + sunlight + glass = algae farm with a factor of pain in the ass to clean every several days! Talk about advertising for birds of prey and other unsavoury locals looking for opportunity to knock over that hokey unstable platform. This will fail much like the rimless aquarium, sounds cool, looks cool, but never thought out beyond the first week of coolness.

+BigDaDo mf Are you the one with the poor grammar skills, yeah that's what I thought! Don't be such an imbecile and be amused when a shiny object is dangled in front of your face, would you not be a bit upset if you bought that thing not knowing how often it has to be cleaned, having to do it yourself or paying someone else to do it, that kinda takes that ooh and ahh factor right out of it. Perhaps it being knocked over constantly by predators because it's like ringing the dinner bell, not to mention that rickety unstable stand that it sits on will make that easy enough. So please think (if possible) before speaking, it'll make life a bit easier.

quick question...has another animal (cat, hawks, other predators) ever smashed or damaged anything? trying to catch the fish ...?

  • Dale Thompson
Dale Thompson 10 months ago +1

Perhaps fish are a whole lot smarter than we humans are able to measure. Look at the number of fish crowding into that cube as if they just crave the sensory stimulation that cube provides. I saw a video of a gold fish that could do some tricks right here on TVclip. It has got to be as boring as hell to be a caged animal .... of any kind. A more stimulating and changing environment might make for greater health and longevity for fish. What do you think? Do you see evidence of fish intelligence however you may define that term ?

Queencool45 AJ he didn't blow anything into the tank. 😑 he sucked the air out creating a lower pressure in the tank which resulted in the pond forcing water into the tank to fill the vacuum.

This is definitely on our 'to do' list for Spring. As far as winter weather - we always winterize our pond, removing or trimming plants, etc. and adding bubblers and covering with a net to keep leaves out. Our koi always sink to the bottom of the pond and wait for Spring - they would have no need of this 'viewing area' during wintertime. But, what fun during the summer months! I see no reason why the water inside the cube would be any different than the rest of the pond water. We aerate it all with a nice pump, waterfall and squiring alligator! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

    • Maria Luz
      Maria Luz 11 months ago

The Sinful Gamer Yes Sinful. Swoop down through the glass. No. And if you were referring to the birds eating the fish outside of the glass, it would have nothing to do with the glass.

    • The Sinful Gamer
The Sinful Gamer 11 months ago

Chad Windham if it shook a good amount while he put it up, that thing will shake and fall over in high winds, also the birds just gotta swoop down and eat them from the water. it's not hard.

    • Chad Windham
Chad Windham 11 months ago +1

The Sinful Gamer well, how does the bird get to them? and with the weight of the water helping to hold the thing in place, it probably won't be that easy to fall over...

only problem i see is the water in that tank doesnt get any water surface tension so that oxygen can get into the water.. there needs to be holes drilled into the top or a bubbler in the second area to make sure that oxygen gets there or youre gonna have a bunch of algae from all the sun hitting the tank..
