The look in his eyes and the way he almost can’t talk about the red wedding makes my guy wretch. Even he can’t talk about how much it hurts without looking dead inside and he WROTE the damn thing.

"...It's a little bit like killing part of yourself or smothering
one of your children but you know some sometimes it has to be done for the service of the Almighty God of the story..."
Maybe he really did make a deal with a Devil. XD

It was one of if not the best and most vivid scene in the books.

I wonder if he has a character or characters that he killed that he regretted later.

i wish we got more robb stark tho in the show like we got to see atleast one battle with him we almost never saw him in action it would be cool to see him fight im not gonna lie tho when i was reading the book i defo thought robb was our typical good guy hero and not jon snow i thought jon was just another character i liked jon but never was a fan of him back then and then they killed robb off

i will be honest the red wedding in text was some really fucked up shit especially the end during Cat's last moments, i think the way it described cat being delirious in the end like she went insane in the span of a few moments, like when her neck was about to be cut she said something about her hair, i kinda forgot but it was disturbing

I only know the series from the show, but I actually had mixed feelings about the Red Wedding from a particular perspective. It reduced the dramatic range of characters on screen and it did take away some of the political intrigue and sense of diverse, far-flung, vying powers for the throne. I just sort of felt like, I get that this is a bold plot twist, but effectively what will happen to the show now? As it turned out, that policy seemed to continue, with Tywin, then later on the Sept taking out like 1/3 of the characters. These were all plot twists and killed major characters. But they also killed off a lot of the fascinating intrigue in favor of a much blander, less three-dimensional story IMO. I don't know what happens in the books, but in the show, it wasn't just the characters that died, but also the tone of the story.

“The story comes first”. What a great writer, he made the king of the iron throne based on his power to have the story of mankind. The enemy of that ‘story’ is the night king who was created to wipe out mankind. Just wow!

If they had turned her into Lady Stoneheart like in the books that would’ve been really cool! Beric Dondarrion would’ve had to sacrifice himself for it instead of saving Arya from the Wights like in the show. But it may’ve been too much Stark character resurrection with Jon Snow. And Beric’s sacrifice to save Arya who kills the NK was a bit more poetic having been revived that 6th time for that purpose.
