Funny Fanbase, i remember this one time with 5000 Likes for a obviously wrong Theory! It was about the explanation for Peter Pettigrew never been noticed when sleeping in Rons Bed. You know that Animagi were shown in the Movies to be seen on the Marauders Map even in Animal Form?? So yeah, it is a Plot Hole, no explanation possible.

obviously if she predicts the future, she can't then go on to change it by talking about it, which is why talking about the future she sees regularly fails to change hat future!

Doesn't the knave of spades refer to Harry himself? A brown young man, possibly troubled (by the whole Draco situation) at the time, and who dislikes the questioner (of the cards), Trelawney herself. Always assumed it was Harry. Doesn't invalidate your theory, but it is less farfetched than Snape being the questioner or whatever.

Just a quick fix - Sirius Black broke into Hogwarts on October 31st (Halloween), not the 16th. Also this just my opinion but if you predict something bad will happen to someone you are not predicting anything. Life is full of bad things and bad things happen to everyone. It's called living. Unless you can predict the exact day and the exact cause, you are just a fraud.

  • Qoureno’s Miscreations

Well both Voldie and Harry were kinda soul twins tbh. Not even needing the soul marriage :3 imho. They are parallels of each other. Just HRRY WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE LOVED. Regardless of whether both of them are actually sociopathic. Coz they are. Voldie just went full on psychopath

I need you guys to do a video explaining this to me:
    Reasons for argument:
    1) Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna all got into the ministry of magic completely undetected and uninterrupted.
    2) that same group of teenagers got all the way down to the department of mysteries without being stopped. Or without any security measures in place.
    3) that same group of teenagers got INTO the department of mysteries without ANY ISSUES!
    5) Several of the 12 Death Eaters were being pursued and chased by the ministry of magic for escaping from AZKABAN.
    6) All of this happened without ANYONE from the ministry of magic interfering ONCE!
HOW?!? I need you guys to cover this in detail. It is SHOCKING how easy it would’ve been for Voldemort to just go get the prophecy himself. Why didn’t he? I can’t even think of a good theory as to why he wouldn’t.
My question for you and Ben is WHY didn’t Voldemort just go get the prophecy himself?

Also, one more thing, when looking into a crystal ball for the first time, RON, of all people, thinks he sees a bowler cap and says "Maybe you have a career in the ministry."

Professor Trelawney telling Parvati to "beware a red-haired man" but it ended up being a warning for Padma makes me wonder if during the third-year Ravenclaws' first Divination class that year Trelawney predicted something about Padma that ended up happening to Parvati.

Trelawney was the daughter of Cassandra. In ancient mythology Cassandra was cursed to know the future, but no one ever believes her... BTW almost all of the predictions made by Ron and Harry come true if red properly

I’m rereading PoA, and Lavender Brown’s rabbit dies on the 16th, yes, but the day Sirius breaks in is halloween, right after the feast. I still think it’s a valid theory, just wanted to point that out

I always considered The Grim to be related to his incident with Sirius and the dementors. Sirius is the literal embodiment of the omen, being a large black dog animagus, but he also is the one that died when the dementors ganged up on the two when he and Harry were left alone to fend off the horde. Harry didn't die, but he came very close- honestly, had he not time-turned with Hermione and saved himself along with Sirius it was an inevitable end for the both of them making the prediction 100% true. I'm curious if the tea reading was actually an omen letting him know he would encounter a death, but not necessarily his own. My other guess would be that his reading was accurate in the sense that this fate was a possibility if things were to continue to unfold as they were. That's the thing about fortune telling in general, though. Fate is never set in stone and there is always a chance to change the outcome. Also, Dumbledore, being the savy, spry, wize old wizard familiar with time-turners was the one who suggested it from the beginning with the right amount of turns. It's possible he foresaw this misfortune, along with the many ill-fated mishaps, and took it into consideration as a possible safe-guard in ensuring the best outcome for everyone.

I mean basically all of the predictions in divination class in PoA are correct... I mean Ron suggests that Harry will suffer but be happy about it... and he indeed does. I think in the book the boys even make up something for an assignment and even that is true if you look beyond the literal meaning of their words. After all divination is always interpretation.

"Beware of a red haired man" could be referring to Ron being a terrible date at the Yule ball.

    • Caitalin
      Caitalin 14 days ago +2

Parvati went with Harry to the Yule Ball. BUT Parvati cares about her sister and Lavender so much, it still applies. Ron was a bad date to the ball with Padma, and then 2 years later he broke Lavender's heart. Maybe her spirit is so intertwined with Padma's, Trelawney mixed them up.
