  • Crohn’s Professional

As a person with a disability, this is not offensive! This does an amazing job of teaching people what to do when you meet a person with a disability. Usually we hear “don’t stare” and “don’t interact” but most of us would much rather you come and ask us what’s happening. ❤️

I have anxiety too, and I would consider it a disability, because It can limit a person. I can’t drive because I get close to panic attacks at even the potential of not being completely in control( I’m working on it, especially now that I’m college bound)

I feel the girl is this video. I have extreme anxiety and it really does make you think less of what you are capable of and it feels like it limits me every day. Though I have issues, I always strive to help others because everyone has a different story and different obstacles. It's not our place to make it harder for them to reach their goals. ❤❤

I'm glad they're opening people's mind to not so well known disabilities. There is one on my mind that I'm sure almost none of you know about, but i don't think i'd call it a disability. It's more of a terminal illness, but it very uncommon and very rare. So much that there are few doctors who actually know what it is. It's Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and it (to simplify it) creates mucus in the lungs and it is easily able to block up tubes, ducts, or passageways if a person with CF doesn't keep up with a breathing treatment and vest that they have to do everyday (to stay healthy as best as they can). There is a lot more to this illness than just mucus in the lungs, and it can cause other illnesses along with it. You know when you get sick but as soon as it's over you get back up and feel fine again? This doesn't happen with people with CF. They never get back up. Instead, when they get sick they have to be put in the hospital and put on multiple meds. That sickness never goes away. I know two people that are two CF siblings, one of them being my boyfriend. I only know of this illness because of the people I was lucky enough to meet. They helped me understand it and what they're going through, and I've even been to a few of their doctors appointments. I definitely can't say that I know a bunch about CF since I only discovered it last year, but I know enough that I want to spread awareness about it. My boyfriend is so young but he's only estimated to live until his late teens. Isn't that insane? There's so many people with CF that can't afford treatment, so he was lucky enough to have a family with good income. I hope some of you have the heart to look into this. I'm sorry for this long paragraph, but this is an illness that needs to be recognized along with many other unknown ones. Please help these people be recognized. (I'm in no way saying this is worse than anything else or anything in the video, but I thought this is the type of video it could relate to.)

I have anxiety, depression, PTSD, BPD and I’m an insomniac which fucks up your life a lot and trust me you shouldn’t feel bad bc ur anxiety isn’t as severe as others. You shouldn’t compare yourself to other people which is easy to say but hard to do trust me I know I’ve done it and well it ended up with me in the hospital 2 times for attempted suicide

I have endometriosis and I’m so glad that she said the doctors don’t know much and that they suggest that you get pregnant I was 16 when a doctor for suggested that I should try getting pregnant because it would help. In the end I ended up having a full hysterectomy at 20, which for me personally has helped so much but basically because it stopped my cycle which stop my body from going through the process that created the rest of my body to have the effects of endometriosis.

I’m 19 and I have Endometriosis. I think I’ve never heard anyone with this condition describe it the way I’ve been trying to do it to everyone around me: the fatigue that comes with it, the way it affects almost every aspect of how you interact with the world and how you see yourself, with your plans and dreams, how the lack of research turns into a burden and sometimes even a weapon against you. The uncertainty that surrounds it, with all the false “cures” that also come with it. It’s become frustrating and heartbreaking how whenever things get bad enough for me to go and see my gynecologist that her only answers to my questions about the future are exactly what Gray said: that if I get pregnant my life will get better in “so many ways”, that the medication I’m in it’s my last option so that I must endure the side effects and because of the lack of knowledge surrounding this illness I’m just trapped between what I decide to do with my life and my body and what they say eventually will happen if I don’t change my mind soon. I’m really happy that this kind of videos and conversations exist because sometimes when you’re in this kind of situation in which you feel like your entire body is having a civil war and you can’t do anything to stop it, you start feeling alone. But then stuff like this happens and you remember that this happens to A LOT of women, that we’re not alone and that we don’t have to be ashamed of it or of talking about it, because it’s nobody’s fault. So thank you Cut for making this conversations happen and for acknowledging this illness.

Bjork I reallywant to hug you! You are so kind and warm-hearted it shows that you truly care about each of the people you met in this vid! I myself have a primary lymphatic oedema which is peanuts compared to the stuff the people you spoke to have. But it's still encouraging to see how open-minded and non-judgmental you are. My illness is only visible to others when they see my bare legs but I still wish more people looked at me with eyes like yours. Full of kindness, real concern and understanding 😀😍 thank you for being you! Also you're really brave for participating in this! I can't imagine what it's like to live with anxiety but this kind of situation can't be easy for you 😘 kudos to you sister❤

Some cases of Tourette's people do shout random things but some ticks are physical. Not saying i know a lot about the disability though. Not to glamorize it at all but i like the videos where people who have tourette's say nursery rhymes.
