Depends on the look you are going for, but no, this is not universally flattering. This is most flattering on girls with curves, or an hourglass shape. Girls like me, with straight hips, the dress just hangs on us like a sack.

Wrap dresses are not flattering on everyone. Designers pushing them for heavy women did them a disservice. They've now become the "uniform" for plus size women. Oh, you're overweight? Only wrap dresses for you!

Wear a full or half slip underneath. Imagine a silky slip. Easy. No peek a boo moments... unless there's some nice lace trim the slip showing. Cheap dresses have no lining... that is why good old fashioned foundational shape wear is still relevant.

it's amazing how self deprecating these women are when they're talking about how the dress fits them :(
I wish they would instead comment not he fit of the dress with a positive take on their bodies

I don't know what you all are seeing, but this dress does not fit properly or flatter any body, it's baggy, droops at the bust, cinches messily at the waist, shows an unflattering view of the knees and looks awkward to wear or sit. Otherwise, it's fine.

0:55 Faith. I'm roughly her size and I absolutely envy her for her small ankles and feet. My ankles swell up as soon as I walk a step and my feet swell up, too, so much that I can only DREAM of wearing sandals with heels like she wears 😢😢😢

  • Evelyn Wald
Evelyn Wald 4 months ago +33

Wish they would compare short women (of all sizes) and tall women (of all sizes). I'm short and wear a 0-2 petite and this dress looks like it would hang on me with too much fabric around the the waist because of where the belt would fall. Also, the v-neck area would probably have to be adjusted on a short person so that they wouldn't have too much clevage.

  • anildo
    anildo 4 months ago +10

I can't stop thinking about how uncomfortable it must be when your legs are so thick that they touch even down to the knees because to me it's already annoying when they touch at all like all the way up at the thighs when wearing a dress

    • anildo
      anildo 4 months ago +1

@Annika yeah I do that but when they touch at the knees you really have to always wear leggings or so that must suck 😅

Whoever designed this dress won it all. It flatters the body type of ALL of these girls, and they're all so different!

    • Gabriela Obiala
Gabriela Obiala 3 months ago +2

Diane von Furstenberg originally designed it ,french people call it the "wallet dress" because it's "folding" around your body but also she made an empire out of it
