Supercharged Corn | Jamie Oliver | AD

  • Another healthier, delicious and affordable recipe from Me & Tesco, and a great way to get more veg in your life!
This is a paid ad by Tesco. (AVAILABLE IN UK ONLY)
Fresh corn is fantastic on its own, but if you struggle to get veg into your kids, adding a topping is a great way to get them to eat more of it. They’ll love getting stuck in with the rolling, so get a mini production line going and have fun with it.

Tesco is passionate about what? Their ability to stock simple items is appalling.
That said though this is the only way to cook corn. Nando used to do it too. And add some chili flakes and lime is all you need!

He should have been the bigger man and asked Gordon if he could have done a kitchen nightmares Jamie's Italian special... Who wouldn't want to watch that?

Isn't bacon like one of the most cancerogenic things you can buy in a supermarket? Or is it just a cheap bacon that is so bad, and better quality bacon is alright?

Thanks Tesco I am going to my local Turkish/Greek Supermarket and getting cheaper Sweetcorn in their husks, grown in a field rather than a greenhouse.

I don’t know if I can be bothered to do the sauce and dipping etc but I’m just going to say if you’ve never done charred sweet corn in a dry pan or under the grill then at least do that bit. Tastes amazing with just butter, ten times better than boiling it.

No criticism to you as love your recipes and use them all the time but I could never use Tesco for fruit and veg in my local at Cambridge half the stuff is rotten, going rotten or just not good and as for things like there lemons and limes they are a joke, they really are even the organic range are not good.

    How is this healthy exactly?

    • Nodwaa
      Nodwaa 2 months ago

@RJamesMusic91 corn has barely no nutritional value. So it's far from healthy. We cant even digest it properly

    • RJamesMusic91
      RJamesMusic91 3 months ago

Nothing in this is unhealthy. There is a light dusting of the seasoning on the cob and everything else is healthy...

Where's the supercharger Jamie? I'm reporting you to the ASA. This is unacceptable false advertising. Never mind that, I'm reporting you to the FSA. The suggestion that you'd serve corn with a component of an automobile is rife with danger.

@Phil Long Oopsie, sorry babes I've tickled your feathers there haven't I. I can only endeavour to be more zealous with respect to your achievements compared to Jamie's. Just so we know, what would you consider to be your greatest achievements in life? (aside from this post of course).

@NOPE YEP Hey, that's a really good comeback!! I'll use that form of reflective tactic next time I want to look silly trying to respond to someone.
