Blackshark 2 hardly thermal throttles and scores 410k+ on antutu, it whoops both of these and the pro version goes into the 500k+ mark.

How does OP7+'s 90Hz screen feel subjectively compared to the current iphones?
Any idea about the refresh rates of the touch-sensing part of smartphone touchscreens?
Always felt that scrolling an iphone feels better (less lag) than androids of the same generation.

    • K.D
      K.D 3 days ago

Subjectively, the color, punchiness and sharpness of iPhone screens are still noticably better. I work in graphics and media production (photos, videos, etc) so I really really scrutinize my screens a lot. iPhone panels are still the best, but only about 10-20% better than other phones. I guarantee that 90% of people can't even conciously notice it. Some people may even dislike the extra contrast and saturation altogether!
For the 90Hz, it's very, very noticable and enjoyable (if you're using popular apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and so on). For a lot of third party apps (mostly games), it's still locked at 60Hz. Google Chrome used to support 90, but an update few weeks ago capped it at 60 for unknown reasons.
iPhone feels smoother because their OS is generally smoother and way better optimized, not the display. Android have literally thousands of models with different specs, screen size, resolution, chips, launcher, version, so it comes to over a million of combinations. Whereas Apple only have a couple dozens, so it's way easier to make apps fully compatible and smooth with those handful of devices.

The S10 has more features and is more powerful. But the Oneplus has a better body to screen ratio. So what i'm saying is the S10 is the better phone so get the S10

What I hate about Samsung is, their phone always bloated with unnecessary apps, S this S that S Health S App whatsoever...
Google had already provide a lot of the basic app from Android itself, so why put the effort to bring another app that basically do the same or yet maybe worst than that *COUGH* *COUGH* Bixby

    • K.D
      K.D 3 days ago

Yes, I agree so much. However, it doesn't really intergrate into your using experience. If you don't open it, then you'll never know it's there. Other Chinese manufaturers like Xiaomi actively forces you to join their bloat ecosystem, it's super annoying. The OnePlus still have *some* non-removable bloatware too, like Netflix. I never knew they had a partnership with Netflix.

Having used both of these brands, I really have to say most of ppl that prefer samsung haven't really tried to use the OP before. The job they have done these couple of years really shouldnt be overlooked. Especially this year they really have stepped it up with OP 7 pro. I never really like the idea of taking my phone for a swim anyway so "splash" proof is more than enough for me. And I dont really use the wireless charging at least until it is proven to be faster than the cable charging anyway, besides you are still gonna need the power plug to plug in the wireless pod 😂. The experience I have with OP has been outstanding so far especially for its price point. And I dont think I'm gonna switching back unless OP settling down which is very unlikely looking at what they have done these recent years, besides "Never settle" is their main motto right?😁. Keep up the good job Oneplus and you will attract more customer like me who doesnt like to settle down 😋.

      dylan vasey 4 days ago

Interesting as I am about to purchase one of these and at this moment I think it'll be the OP 7 Pro. Just so you are aware there's plenty of reviews on TVclip that submerge the OP in water for up to 16 minutes, even opening the camera underwater without damage to the phone.

  • Jarett Craig
    Jarett Craig 8 days ago

Lets hear some opinions... I have the oneplus 7 pro and have reordered the note 10 plus. It really bothers me that the note is a 60 hz refresh... I have toggled the oneplus from 60 to 90 the past few days trying to get used to the 60 and its a huge difference. When reading and scrolling webpages, the screen stays so clear on 90 whereas on 60, it gets a bit more fuzzier. Of course, I would have never noticed this had I not had a 90hz screen to compare it to lol. Is anyone else in the same situation of going from the oneplus to a 60hz screen?

The OnePlus 7 pro is clearly superior and cheaper too , it boils down to personal preference but the logical choice is obviously the OnePlus 7 pro.

    • K.D
      K.D 3 days ago

Yeah, the appeal of a OnePlus phone is that it is a flagship killer. But for the 7 Pro, it's just...a pretty cheap flagship.
The problem gets worse when many countries don't even use the global price. In Finland, the base model ($669 on the website) goes for 700 EUROS. In other countries, Samsungs are really cheap, like in Vietnam right now, you can get an S10+ for $650, which makes it CHEAPER than a 7 Pro.

    • Ceysun
      Ceysun 9 days ago

clearly superior? Totally incorrect, both have great features but some lean towards a certain type of person. OnePlus may have better performance but leaves the headphone jack and weighs a lot more. I'd say they're evenly split, especially since they are both near enough the same price right now.

I have a note 9 att unlocked phone, and didn't recieve july 1st update which gives night mode camera. My wife has an international factory unlocked and recieved the update last month. Samsung and att give me the run around. I wish that we could just go into android and download directly from android

    • BelaPuma
      BelaPuma 19 days ago

@Haroko san i tried out an s9+ exynos tho my cous has it and was practically the same as snap so yes i would understand , but anyways it's actually 15% (you do get a bit more time but how relevant that is varies from person to person i guess) gap between s10s and i'm planning on buying an xperia 1 cuz of the 21:9 aspect ratio anyways :p

    • Haroko san
      Haroko san 19 days ago

@BelaPuma just watch the damn reviews man, don't debate on someone who truly experienced it. You wouldn't understand anyway.

    • Haroko san
      Haroko san 19 days ago

@BelaPuma so you're just depending on what you hear and read. Srsly? Small difference? Go get yourself a Samsung flagship dude. 20% battery gap of Exynos and Snapdragon is not a small difference.

    • BelaPuma
      BelaPuma 19 days ago

@Haroko san well the only reason snapdragon draws a little less power is bcuz the architecture is smaller and not that much more advanced but apart from that there isn't much difference , anyways, cheers

    • Haroko san
      Haroko san 19 days ago

@BelaPuma try watch more reviews and see comments. Exynos is still a working progress, it is good but not that good, and i can see that Samsung is pushing their own chip and it keeps getting better each year, however Snapdragon is way more advanced.
