  • The 1984 NBA Draft yielded arguably the greatest player to lace up a pair of sneakers. North Carolina's Michael Jordan was the 3rd overall selection by the Chicago Bulls and went on to become a basketball and global icon. His teammate Sam Perkins joined him in the first round as he was selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the 4th overall selection.
