If I had to bet money on someone coming back from a bagel. It would be this man Nadal. What mind the man has.

One year later, Nadal gave us his greatest performance on this court & won the whole thing. Such a great legend and titan of this sport. Never felt so proud to be a die hard fan of yours Champ. ❤️❤️

I dont get how Nadal can be a top player. He really is. But there is something missing in his playing. Yet, he manages to be one of the very best. It's like his playing is based on defense rather than attack. He does little unforced errors. He has security with the price of losing attack.

This match along with Khachanov match messed up his knees last year. He should avoid the same fate by being aggressive and serving flat. This year also he is poised to face both Thiem and Khachanov.

I remember when Nadal was just a kid with pimples. Now he is hitting mid 30s soon with balding hairline. Sad times when he is gone. I hope he stays strong for another 3 years and 4 more grandslams before he calls it quit.

I think Rafa is too limited physically this year, he needs his pace back but I think anyway overall Novak is too good at the moment I don't see who can beat him, maybe Kyrgios who knows lol

In order to beat Nadal in a Grandslam, if he is as fit as a fiddle, one must have these qualities: Skills, Technique, Strength and Power- Physically, Emotionally and the "Will" to win... and consistently doing it in 5sets!

@Reynaldo Castaneda I meant it more as a joke. I want the first Fedal at USO. With my statement I just wanted to express my betting curse. (Both of them unlikely losing. - Dimitrov has no chance vs Federer.)

Isn't the fifth set supposed to be 2 game difference for a win instead of a tiebreak?

    • Ghiles M
      Ghiles M Month ago

Each slam has its own rule for the 5th:
Australian Open: Super tiebreak (first to 10 points with 2 points difference) starting 6-6 in the 5th
Roland Garros: No tiebreak in the 5th, need two game difference
Wimbledon : Tiebreak starting 12-12 in the 5th.
US Open: Tiebreak starting 6-6 in the 5th.
