Rick Makes Chili Colorado (Stewed Pork in Chili Sauce) | From the Test Kitchen | Bon Appétit

  • Join Rick Martinez in the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen as he makes Chili Colorado. What is Chili Colorado, you ask? It’s a traditional Mexican dish of beef or pork stewed in a red chili sauce-chili “colored red,” not chili from the state of Colorado.

Edit: Learn how to cook with nail polish on.
Just safety note to everyone: Don’t have nail Polish on your nails while cooking. You could chop a piece of polish while choping up on your board and WILL end up in the food.
This Chef maybe a professional, yet, this could be just for the camera or because he feels to.
But knows how to Cook with nail polish on.

I realize i am going to be persona non grata after this post, but here goes. First, I have found every way to ignore the fact that nearly every personality I meet on Bon Apetit is openly, if not brazenly flaunting their sexuality (with the exception of course, of our token hetero, Brad) (I think! Haha) painted fingernails on a dude? Heck, I don't really care I guess. When I first saw it, I did take a double take. But the comments above are correct, Rick has great presence and this recipe is awesome. I have my attempt at chili Colorado simmering as I type this. So, I am learning to be more tolerant and accepting. But I have one real complaint.
I watch cooking videos while my grandson is here. I hope to teach him to love cooking as much as the rest of us. He is 5 years old instantly catches "bad words". He heard Rick' s use of the F word.
I guess I'm supposed to let him watch 6'4" cross dressing cooks (who was no slouch in the kitchen!) Fingernail painted guys, and all manner of other LBGT type folks....but I don't want him to hear foul language. I'm just asking you guys to be aware that we do have children watching.
I do like your channel enjoy your recipes. Oh, and if a fan club for Molly is ever developed, please sign me up!

I love getting the lessons on dried chilies, how to buy packaged tortillas, tips like getting the can taste out of hominy.
I live in a small town and all we have are these terrible “Mexican” restaurants. I can’t even buy most of the ingredients in my area. I have to drive 2 hours to get it. But every time it has been so worth it.
I grew up in a Mexican household, these videos help me bring the same food to my children.
