Isn't there a turbo version on the boards?

The tires sure complain a lot.

  • TN Gifford
    TN Gifford 24 days ago

looks too softly sprung, tires might suck or perhaps need to be wider? Ground clearance is high for this level of performance. You have the engine in the right place, the steering looks spot on, now fix that suspension travel, height, and rebound rates with those fancy dancy magnetofluidynamic fiddly thingys, then your getting there. Bottom line is check that contact patch on all four corners and you will see what's the what. She is getting outta sorts, especially the inside front and rear patch is my point, so up the outside loading and stop the sway, dial in some negative camber for Gods sake. Then the auto will go sub 7.

To everyone bitching about the looks - who cares what the fuck it looks like lmao I swear some people care more about looking cool than performance

It's so composed. Little bit of body roll, but that's alright because Vettes have to be comfortable and compliant. This car doesn't really look like it's trying at all. The C7 seemed to struggle much more on the Nurburgring.

Understeer on slow/ medium corners that then can be controlled with the gas. I don't like the back at all. 1 long- thin led brake light from one side to the other or 4 independent ones would had look much better imo.

Doesnt look original.. just another look a like “faster” sportscar. Copy past to the max.
They need to do some experimental out of the box stuf.
Its 2019 man! So many good car designers.

0-60 in under 3 seconds with 500 hp and 470 lb ft of torque for less than 60 grand. This car is going to put the competition on notice. This car will hang with others at a fraction of the price.

She,s back firing way too much for a new supercar. I understand the whole mid engine thing but based on overall performance.... Waste of cash putting the motor in back.

    • Dirt Rusty
      Dirt Rusty 2 months ago

You obviously have no idea what a "backfire" is. There's no combustion going through the intake of this car. Back to video games for you.

  • The Birds My Word
The Birds My Word 3 months ago

Sounds like a smaller V8. Not like the 6.2L V8 you hear in C7. I'd say a 4 something liter. Maybe even the 5.7L. If anything a v8 no more than a 5.7L but no less than a 4 liter. It 100% isn't the 6.2, which is smart... You can put 700+ horsepower in a smaller V8 (not that you need to make it that powerful) your already saving weight with the smaller engine. For this vett I'm estimating a horsepower somewhere between 500-590. I beleive the top of the line C8 will be pushing somewhere between 600-700, close to the horsepower of the Ferrari 488.

I understand the name Corvette...but if you seen this with another companies badge then you wouldn’t say “Hey that looks like a Corvette”...because they tried to go too Italian with this...a C7 face lift with a more updated C6 type of rear would of been great...C8 looks to probably out price loyal Vette owners and lose that famous giant trunk space...

for some reason i can't help but think chevy wants to make a 2000's NSX when looking at this video a 2nd time !
if it is anything close to what a OLD NSX looks this vette will probably steal away those old time NSX fans !
