I have friends and classmates who have been studying abroad in Hong Kong for the semester (We go to a university in the USA) and they were actually evacuated from Hong Kong. They ended up staying in Vietnam so they could be closer to the right time zone to complete their classes online for this semester.

Honestly, I’m mad that the one woman died. I feel like she got the easy way out. She deserved to live out the rest of her days rotting in a cell.

I'm interested in getting your take on what's going on in the NHL. I know sports isn't your thing but right now there's a bunch of stuff going on. A female hockey player was forced to play with a broken shoulder, almost lost her position on a team for preventing another player from committing suicide and verbally assaulted, a player had racial slurs hurled at him before a game and then the same coach was kicking players and punching them in the head. All sorts of things coming out that so far has resulted in one coach being fired and another that might be virtually unhireable. I love hockey and I truly think it's important people hear what's going on for the game to move forward and become more accessible to more people. It's important this doesn't become background noise and get ignored because this is happening to children as well and that's not being talked about enough.

  • Who are you? What do you want?

I feel bad for the policeman dude, some can't even resign cuz if they did, they won't be able to get any jobs, so it's either you go out and get hurt and blamed but have food for your family or resign and have no money

Hi Phil, in regards to your Hong Kong segment of the show, student Chow that you mentioned actually died from his own misstep in the multi-level parking lot that he was in. If you look at the map of the parking lot, the level below him actually had an extended balcony so he expected the same extended balcony on his level but unfortunately fell off and suffered the serious head injury that eventually led to his death. Although, his misstep due to low visibility in the area might be attributed to the police's tear gas, but it is indeed still an accident.

one thing should be made clear:
HK police are using live rounds now, not just tear gas and rubber bullets
but under HK law, a police causing a protestor to bleed is ILLEGAL
yet officers shooting live rounds have not faced any consequences

Oh, god forbid the Ukrainians at the behest of a Republican have a _politically motivated investigation._ It's not like the Democrats did that for 2 years and spent $30 million on it...or like they're doing that again right now... That would be hypocritical, and the Democrats are such upstanding, honest, and wholesome politicians, with a moral tradition that dates all the way back to the KKK and starting the war between states because they wouldn't free their slaves.

Aside from the gigantic strawman arguments you presented at the end, I'm more inclined to know what's your point? It sounds like you're using the Putin defense: it's OK to do it since others have done it in the past, which is an invalid argument (at best). A quick analyses of any historical conflict (not even necessarily war) would throw your point right out the window.

I used to live in maricopa AZ (where she lived) and her older daughter who is like 25 or something like that would always say how her mom was abusing her family. Me and a couple of our co workers told her to go to the cops but she just kept on telling us to mind our business. The daughter should go to jail

It's OK, he compensates for his complete bias towards the protesters by calling individuals who produce and use cocktail molotovs against police, threaten to and perform acts of violence and vandalism en masse "protesters" instead of correctly labelling them as "rioters". Sounds like a fair exchange to me...

He is so bias lol. I'm not even saying that the conservatives have much but the liberals literally had nothing with their LEAD witness who literally was told something thing from a guy who... heard something from a guy. So literally hearsay on top of hearsay. That isn't evidence lol. But they did say that hearsay is sometimes better than evidence... idk how people can be so blind

The Hong Kong protestor who held a chain saw was saying that he’s a “dog-child” which means the children with police parents. He felt very guilty and ashamed of his parents and his identity and he wanted to fight the police at the potest in the university. The other protestors comforted him telling him that his different from his parents :(

I bet after her celly read her charges she might’ve done her in. People that abuse children especially are often times purposefully placed in cells by the authorities where an “accident” can occur. First thing my celly did when i got in jail was check my charges to make sure i wasn’t a pedophile etc.

Phil, can you possibly make the time to talk about the massive cuts Bell & Bell Media has been making. Just this week, newscaster Gord Leclerc was walked out of the CTV office and no one is releasing any information as to why. He’s an unproblematic anchor who’s been with the show for nearly 25 years & they just wiped all trace of him from their site & dropped him with no explanation as to why.
If you could please speak on this for even 30 seconds it would make such an impact
