The Huawei laptops are getting too good to ignore. If you’re looking for a thin and light performance device, the Matebooks are probably the best available on the market right now.

Good video, appreciate that srsly but I need one less advice. It’s mid-past 2019 and I’m thinking on getting the Matbook X pro for my university (I’m studying informatics engineering and I need to program a lot) and I hope it to work good for the next years.
Which one should I buy? Matebook X pro or Matebook 13? Is there some option for me for an stylish, thin and powerful laptop I should look for?
Thanks for the help btw :)

hey man, im an it bachelor and proud owner of the 2018 matebook x pro. its absolutely perfect for coding exspecially on the go. you will be in uni until late at night probably, but not a problem with the x pro. havent had to take the power adapter to uni once, since the battery is so good.
for specs: id go with the stronger i7 and 16gb ram. you will probably need that extra power for things like virtual machines (kali linux) and dev enviroments like qt creator and such (netbeans).
i would also look into the 2 in 1 marked as well, you might want a laptop that you can easily use as a notepad during the classes (talking algebra ect.)
      10/10 would recommend :)

Darul Khair thank you! I just want it to work well while I have let’s say 10 tabs open and some apps. I don’t play games or edit too much, but I just want to know which option is the best because I don’t want my laptop to slow down after a while.

    • Darul Khair
      Darul Khair Month ago +1

      depends on what you do.
if you do video editing or 3d render then i7 is way better.
if you use it for more casual stuff, i5 should be fine.

i would prefer if they could include everything on the matebook x pro, but on a 14" 1080p 90hz display, dual fan setup, much larger battery, and an option for 2 tb of nvme storage.

    emmm...
I still think that it just a copy of MacBook
I don’t mean that Matebook is not good, what I mean is they must have it’s own idea instead of just copy others product
And that’s a big problem of Chinese brands even they got good technology and reasonable price
For me, Matebook is just like Xiaomi tablet , nothing but a copy product (one is copy from MacBook and the other is copy from ipad)

    • xomegaxz
      xomegaxz 2 months ago

@Sammy sam i think i would go with the matebook d 15. From what i read on their site, the gpu is mx150 so it should be enough for graphics design. 1080p screen also tends to use less battery.

    • Sammy sam
      Sammy sam 2 months ago

@xomegaxz Thanks! Do you think it is good also for graphic design? Because I'm curious which to choose the 13 or 15 inches, I found the matebook d 15 inches but it's just 1080p and matte display and the matebook 13 2k display and its comes just with 256gb ssd while the matebook d comes with 128gb ssd+1TB. What do you think is worth for buying?

Matebook pro may be the thinnest notebook available. It has a minimal bezel and CNC machined contoured edges. The look alone makes the MacBook a bit dated. Again, Huawei's reputation for long battery life and brilliant screen color has not disappointed the users.

It's definitely a coincidence that all the Asian reviewers are the first reviewers of the Huawei laptops and all are saying that its the best laptop and everything Huawei is perfect and "Chinese laptops are getting too good" and how you should try new stuff. But if you really look into the longitivtiy of Huawei laptops and their customer service even on Amazon there are a lot of negative reviews concerning their longitivtiy and how the laptop just stops working after 6 months or a year with customer service not even replying to the complaints. I've never seen this many negative reviews for a laptop on Amazon. Do yourself a favour and get a trusted MacBook that you can use for years now that they are offering 4 years of free hardware support and replacement.
