The Huawei laptops are getting too good to ignore. If you’re looking for a thin and light performance device, the Matebooks are probably the best available on the market right now.

Laptop manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves for peddling thick bezel, non-touch, overpriced GARBAGE like the XPS 13. I bought the Matebook X Pro in November 2018 and could not be happier over a year later. In fact, I am sad that if the laptop dies at any point down the line, I will not have a go-to replacement. The 2020 XPS 13 is getting a little bit closer with the bigger screen, but it's still missing a USB A port, doesn't come with an HDMI/VGA adapter which I need for presentations, is still overpriced for the touchscreen model and just has a lot of quality of life limitations like the awful keyboard. Matebook X Pro was evidence of just how badly we were being shafted by US laptop makers like Dell and Apple, who are INTENTIONALLY reigning in innovation so they can drip feed us features while taking away others. They DO NOT deserve our money and WILL NOT be getting any of mine until they start treating US customers with respect again.

At 2:09 you state that the Matebook 13 has a 2560x1440 display. That would make it a 16:9 aspect ratio, but since this is a 3:2 it is actually 2160x1440.

@Abhin Subha it should last you the whole day. Mine had great battery life for the performance but tak my advice BUY A PROTECTION PLAN! Thankfully I did. I rarely transported my mate book pro anywhere yet somehow within only 4 months the screen cracked in the bottom left corner rendering the laptop useless due to the crack putting pressure on the creen and messing up touch screen feature.

Banning Huawei is just a tactic in their trade wars and in saving their faces in falling behind 5G. Americans believe every things from their government; do they know USA government sent spies to steal from other countries and with fake news sabotage sovereign countries normal life killing millions. USA is worse than Nazi, is world biggest terrorist, is the world most unfair traders and is world leading exporter of arms used to kill more millions.

Dictator Xi Jin Ping misguides the world to believe Chinazi Communist Party is a civilized animal but a barbaric villain. If you want to be proud of being a Chinese, we must end it NOW. Simple wrong to force Taiwan to get “married”. Unfair to ban the universal suffrage in Hong Kong on 2014 when it was legally granted by the Joint Declaration of United Kingdom and Mainland China on 1984. Many commie thugs doing internet trolls are paid so ignore them :)

I understand your point but installing windows is not such a big deal if you really want to have windows.

Good video, appreciate that srsly but I need one less advice. It’s mid-past 2019 and I’m thinking on getting the Matbook X pro for my university (I’m studying informatics engineering and I need to program a lot) and I hope it to work good for the next years.
Which one should I buy? Matebook X pro or Matebook 13? Is there some option for me for an stylish, thin and powerful laptop I should look for?
Thanks for the help btw :)

hey man, im an it bachelor and proud owner of the 2018 matebook x pro. its absolutely perfect for coding exspecially on the go. you will be in uni until late at night probably, but not a problem with the x pro. havent had to take the power adapter to uni once, since the battery is so good.
for specs: id go with the stronger i7 and 16gb ram. you will probably need that extra power for things like virtual machines (kali linux) and dev enviroments like qt creator and such (netbeans).
i would also look into the 2 in 1 marked as well, you might want a laptop that you can easily use as a notepad during the classes (talking algebra ect.)
      10/10 would recommend :)

Darul Khair thank you! I just want it to work well while I have let’s say 10 tabs open and some apps. I don’t play games or edit too much, but I just want to know which option is the best because I don’t want my laptop to slow down after a while.

    • Darul Khair
Darul Khair 4 months ago +1

      depends on what you do.
if you do video editing or 3d render then i7 is way better.
if you use it for more casual stuff, i5 should be fine.

    emmm...
I still think that it just a copy of MacBook
I don’t mean that Matebook is not good, what I mean is they must have it’s own idea instead of just copy others product
And that’s a big problem of Chinese brands even they got good technology and reasonable price
For me, Matebook is just like Xiaomi tablet , nothing but a copy product (one is copy from MacBook and the other is copy from ipad)
