*BEFORE YOU COMMENT, UNDERSTAND THE POINT OF THE VIDEO: This video is about how Google Pixel Phones have gotten better each generation and the Pixel 4 XL is the best one yet. MOST IMPORTANTLY, it's about WAITING to buy a month to not only have the bugs and issues worked out but to HELP YOU SAVE MONEY by waiting for the Black Friday deals. I LOVE using my Google Pixel 4 XL and use it DAILY as my MAIN PHONE. I defended it HEAVILY in my full review, which you can watch here: *** PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE VIDEO BEFORE MAKING ASSUMPTIONS AND ATTACKING ME.

Nah I bought the Pixel 4 day one and had no issues, unlike Samsung S10 where any finger even a piece of gum could unlock the phone using the finger print scanner. Everyone needs to stop listening to the TVclip tech community, you guys do not represent the average consumer and y'all dropped the ball on the Pixel 4 and Stadia. Juan Bagnell already expose all of you!

I pre ordered mine and got the xl and got a 100 gift card. I don't feel ripped off and honestly with today's technology is always going to have issues. I first hand love Google's on phone chat that most probably don't even know or use what a shame. They can remote into your phone and work with issues of course with your permission. Most phones don't have that kind of support. Also to mention it takes forever for most phone brands to push updates to fix things as fast as Google so am happy.

I pre-ordered the Google Pixel 4XL and for me the BIGGEST issue by far is the battery! A lot of the selling points (motion sense, display, 90hz, etc etc) for the pixel 4XL I don't even use because of the sucky battery but I'd like to. Other than that I really like the phone but it's so annoying when it can't even make it through the day.

    • Gayan G
      Gayan G 10 days ago

I pre-ordered since my Pixel 2 XL had a shattered screen and I needed a replacement. It's disappointing about the price drop, but I'm satisfied about the phone. Google support replaced my first Pixel 4 XL due to the oleophobic issue that you outlined.

I got the limited edition orange Google pixel 4 XL yesterday at Verizon, and I am pleased to have it but right from the start have been experiencing problems I found on my own, like the ones you mentioned. I have only made one phone call so far and I couldn't hang up. The white balance seems way off on the camera and my recorder on most applications have a tapping and static noise. There is a glare on the camera which bothers me a lot but what can you do. I had just assumed the camera would be outstanding because I still have my Google pixel XL and I feel I enjoyed that camera more. Other than those problems, which hopefully some can be fixed, I like it and I'm very happy with what Google offers on this device.

II have the Pixel 2 XL & 4 XL I don't have any problems with either. I've done my own non professioinal or consumer reviews and would like to make a few comments about both phones. Was there a flaw on the screen on the 2XL. maybe but I hardly noticed it. you really had to look for it and angle it correctly to see it. But in normal use it was clear and fine. The Camera, Phone speakers were great there were no dropped calls (that no one cares about) the camera worked great and the video was good to. What’s most important to me both phones have great sound quality while on the phone and speaker phone

In regards to the 4. I truly love the phone. Yes I had some "software issues" All of which were resolved when I called in. for example extended google assistant doesn't work with the gestors turned off, (or isn't on by default) or the gboard (or new talk to text) had an issue which I fixed on my own by getting rid of an update. I'm confident all these 2 items and maybe more will be resolved. Motion sense is a little rusty but it does work at times but if it doesn't I change the song, I use the switch on my steering wheel in my car or on the phone. Are these flaws sure, to me they are minor. I am concerned about one thing the screen coding going bad but I have a screen protector on so I shouldn't have a problem, but I can see that to be a real concern. but all in all the benefits outweigh the bad I love the camera especially on the 4xl my Bluetooth works great, the phone reception and clarity is great ( I'm hard of hearing) it works very fast even on 6 gigs of ram. For some 64 gigs of ram maybe a bit small and I agree. but on my pixel 2 (which I had for a year I'm only at 35% used and on the pixel 4 40% used. I still have 25.90 gigs to play with (thats a lot of pictures, mp3's and games.

As far as Samsung the last one I had was the note 5 to be honest I dropped calls and as time went on it lagged. I didn't even use most of the bloatware I don't need a heart monitor. that’s what I see a cardiologist for. if I was afraid of getting a heart attack, I'd trust a heart monitor from a Certified medical supply store more than a monitor on a Samsung phone. I mean come on already. Also the Samsung radio's for phone reception at times dropped calls from what I hear they have improved but the earpiece for hearing the calls were terrible for me. So for me to show off that I have a $1000 phone with the name Samsung on it with a worthless heart monitor and bad sound quality for talking on the phone is not worth it for me.

To sum this up rationally every computer device will have flaws in software. Windows, Android, Linux. etc To be honest that concept stinks but that is the nature of the beast. I personally believe if it was 1950-1980 there would be a lot of less issues because things were sold after being tested a lot more because the quality was much more important back in those days. But in any case As a phone I think the pixel is terrific It's a phone I don't drop calls the sound quality is great speaker phone is mega loud Bluetooth and wi-fi is flawless the screen is great and to be honest the battery is pretty good on the xl I can surpass a day on this phone. Yet I don't play video games or watch tv all day either. but I do have it on all day and I listen to music at times and may play one game but over all I have no complaints. I agree the battery should be bigger if there is a screen coding issue that needs to be addressed. perhaps the storage needs to be increased especially if you store videos. Other than that along with the old Motorola droids the pixel 4 rates as one of my favorite phones. I will say this this phone may not have as many functions as the samsung phones but what this phone does have I find useful and actually allows me to enjoy the phone. Most of the gagets Samsung has is useless to me.

Why bother with a pixel device anymore? They are crappy phones, especially for the money. The Nexus phones used to be good phones for the money, even though they were a little buggy. (Except the 6p. It was junk.) You might as well stick with OnePlus if you're after a budget device.

The entire video hateful, the problem is his shirt is hateful, it is used to trigger religious responses. It is an anti-christian, anti-semitic as the phrase was taken and modified from idea that Hilter saw the old testament as entirely filled with inaccuracies and had it removed because it was taken from the Torah. In which he also saw the Jews the same way. Wearing the shirt is Nazi propaganda.

I ordered the 4XL and within a week the camera would vibrate the entire phone when launched and it looked like the phone was under water with blurry camera view. After hours with support, they asked to send the phone back as defective. BIGGEST mistake Google made was selling off Motorola right before the pixel launch. Motorola has the most sound technology and decades of hardware technology which Google could have used and imoroved upon instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

I loved my pixel 2, so I got the pixel 4 without checking it out first. Boy do I regret that. Why take away the convenient fingerprint scanner?!?!? Why take away the back button and home button?!?! Why take the back button off of the browser??? We have muscle memory and I don't want to do hand gestures or scan my face. Super pissed and disappointed about their design changes. I AM happy with Verizon bc they allowed me to return pixel 4 and still honored the black Friday 200 off towards my new phone with will be the Galaxy S10. Ended up being a 4 dollar difference per month, which is worth not being frustrated with a pixel 4 for 2 years. I say STAY AWAY!!! GOOGLE, the biggest friggin company, needs to listen to consumer feedback. Hope they learn!!
