Hi great video i got the same kind of Kart at an auction lol. It wont pull i understand there is a compression lock switch inside the engine any idea how to release it. Really could use your help since you have the same Kart. Do you know what the name of the kart is
I'd love to see something like this kart with a Yanmar Diesel engine!
Where did you get the lifting tables from
I watch Mustie because with engines I am wrong 100% of the time.
I was kicked out of an amusement park when I was a kid for reaching back and pulling the actual throttle. They didn't like it at all.
Holes on each side are weight reduction lightening holes .
41:57 I said water in almost perfect unison :))
@ 38:17, Mustie1 travels back in time to look inside the clutch case...... lol couldn't resist some comment on it
I'll get you a job at Six Flags in Agawam....
Go to Harbor Freight and put the big Predator VTwin in that thing, rig up some lights and register it to run on the road.
The carburetor bowl on the amusement park go kartyou turn the bowl bleeding screw any way that you can actually get to
all the rubber bumpers are half the weight lol
Petrol, aluminium, sound it as your primary school teacher would say it's not aloominum. Across the pond is where your spoken language comes from, you just haven't got it right yet.
In Austria we suddenly got street-legal carts (classified as motorcycles) a few years ago. I did know that but still had the laugh of my life when I saw a whole gang of people in Mario Kart costumes riding them in the middle of Vienna :-D
Hi Mustie 1, would you please tell me what is the name of your ultra sonic parts cleaner and where can i aquire one of them, thanks Sam Knudsen, Adelaide, South Australia - Australia
Love the channel avid watcher not sure if you can help me out alittle iv started my channel back up and im trying to grow it wondering if you have any pointer im also in nh up in the lakes region area maybe a shout out please and thank you
I miss the quaintness of the old shop. It's weird, but I find myself watching less of these videos now.
Lol the forklift sounds like an RC engine when the video is fast forwarded!
The Taryl fixes all mug cracked me up. Nice touch!
Yum, Miso soup in the ultrasonic cleaner around the 45 minute mark.
Malibu Gran Prix..RoadRunner for the kiddies...wish I could find an adult model..They were close to a 1/4 midget.
hey Mustie1, did you ever finish with that Karmann Ghia fender? I am 81 & it is fun to watch you work.
What's that mean "well enough alone"?
Why did he use the forklift to remove a fiberglass body the weighed maybe 2 pounds
Put that diesel you got at the dumps in it
You're a wizard!! Love watching your stuff!
do you know which amusement park it was from it looks very familiar probably from Riverside Park in Mass
l find out in the next video
Well done! With all of the run hours, and especially idle/low load, I wonder if it needs a valve adjustment. Could you check this in your next video?
When I was a kid, a new neighbor moved in, who owned a trucking company and did most of his own repairs. He also did work for his father's contracting company, which ran with vintage Mack dump trucks and stuff. I used to hang out with him all the time over the summer, learned how to drive all sorts of construction machines, and a lot about big rig diesel engines. At one point, we started building a sort of go-kart, this one was going to be more like a WWII Jeep and not a high speed sort of thing. We had an ancient Kohler industrial motor off an old piece of equipment we got running, the frame was mostly wood, reinforced with some metal fence posts. The front end - almost the same as this kart. We used the steering shaft out of a Freightliner cabover, with one side of each of the universals welded. Wheels and tires were contractor wheelbarrow wheels, although I think we changed to some off an old portable cement mixer - same one we got the motor off of. Taking that apart, we set fire to the weeds it was buried in - it was so rusty, just using penetrating oil didn't work to loosen the bolts, so he hauled out the cutting torch to burn them off. Of course the penetrating oil burns nicely, and it was sprayed on liberally, and dripping everywhere... .We only got it to the point of having the basic body in place, and a steering system, I forget how exactly we built that, but no steering wheel yet. By that time, I would no longer fit in it, and I was old enough to be more helpful for actual work around the place, so it got set aside. I think later on he finished it for his nephew.
Red light, yellow light, green light go,lime green honey that had to be towed.
I have a feeling he watches Taryl Fixes All bc he has a cup he drains the float bowls fuel into that says that...
Any follow up on this project?
Mustie usually releases videos on Sundays. (And sometimes Wednesdays) We may see the next video on this project tomorrow morning.
Another great video. Thank you Mustie.
I have one like that and with full throttle I got to go just over 30 mph
Lol. Is that andrew camerata?
Did anyone notice the random ass nerf dart on the left side 8:30
I love how in the speed up video, the fork lift sounded exactly like a chain saw!
A fork lift to lift that tiny body?
I was looking forward to seeing that pull cord getting fixed. I am sad it still seems to still be hung out to dry.
Just like mine, that Dremel tool resonates quality - doesn't it. :)
I used to work at Southern Auto Auction haha
These are very heavy I just had one last year probably 300 or better crazy
The shape of the body resembles Lighting McQueen from cars that would be a good paint job for it.
@5:15 Sounds like you're driving a chainsaw! :D
I am wondering , what is a good carb cleaner to buy these days of the Green generation ?I one I used to use is no longer sold .
Need a little higher pitch on your "housekeeping"
That is cool! Looking forward to the next vid on this go cart.
How do you like that forklift now?
1:02:25 "Hello, Pony --- how ya doin', Handsome? Comin' over to say hi-hi, are ya?" :D
14:30 I can't quite see it... light a match and hold it down in there so I can see the level of the gas in the tank. :D
11:35 Why just "adjust" the throttle-limiter bolt??? Why not just TAKE IT OFF COMPLETELY so that you can "open her up all the way"??? :P :D
17:06 way is ther a nerv thing in the left screen
Mate what you need is a electric winch from your truck attached to roof make stuff like that easier. Love your work
Al-u-min-i-um. From across the pond, you're welcome.
Instead of taking it apart I woulda just put gas in it and started it on the third pull... Its a Honda
I really enjoyed this video, I wish i had one of those table for my disability scooter, Please what are they called ? i like the idea of being able to drive my buggy onto it or roll it on to it and work on it at table height. To do any work on it on the floor just kills me... Cheers regards Richard
Oh nooooooooo! Mustie forgot to put the bolt back in on the top of the air cleaner mount. 500 lashes with a wet noodle.
Hi,I really enjoy your channel.I saw an older vid and you had a T on from Kittery Point,My uncle lived there for about 70yrs.Welder at sub base,His name was Fay,cool.
