    the cross cut when you chop onion is utterly useless, never ever add oil to the water when you cook pasta and finally it is no point to start cooking the rice in cold water.

    I always cut off my root and crying 😭like a baby .burning eyes, .snorting nose🤧 and everything. One if the reason I never consider being a cook onion is always that one vegetable you always need. I will definitely Leave my roots on the next time I have to cook.

    You can pull the skin off easily and nice and plumb with a spatula if you let it cook a bit. Cook skin separately for a nice and crunchy treat.

    You DON'T actually need any oil on your pasta water, that's a myth and a total waste of perfectly good olive oil. It does nothing. You also don't really need to add anything after straining the pasta either - unless you plan on eating them without any sauce.
