If you, Trump, want us to stop complaining about you:
    1. stop making policy by the seat of your pants. Consult experts.
    2. stop childish name calling
    3. stop picking fights
    4. stop vilifying immigrants, Muslims, blacks, Democrats, Mexicans
    5. stop favouring corporations and the rich.
    6. understand you are president of all Americans, not just your base
    7. get rid of your racism and homophobia.
    8. stop assaulting and adultery.

Cant we boycott buying anything outside our country before buying inside the USA? Like we must buy local or within the USA before we buy from any other country?

    • D Vill
      D Vill Month ago

so that's actually what tariffs were originally designed for, they were meant as a deterrent for consumers and manufacturers to buy inside the USA before buying elsewhere.
So put tariffs on american goods in order for Americans to not buy from outside the country since tariffs inflate the price of imports, therefore making it more difficult to buy from whatever country has a tariff on it by the USA. I'm no professor or anything but Trump clearly isn't either and clearly doesn't know how tariffs work nor how to use them correctly. ugh -__-

Get it through your skulls Dems and Reps, the low end manufacturing jobs are not coming back to US not matter how much tariff is placed on China because American companies like Nike would just move those plants to the next low wage country. We are just shooting ourselves in the foot with higher prices.

    • DIESEL0759
      DIESEL0759 20 days ago

I make that. Sure, Americans love and want a war. It's a great rallying cry, and hey, best of all, no TrumpZombie(TM) would ever participate in one! Americans LOVE being at war, so long as they don't have to be in it!
Democrats want Trump. They need him as their boogeyman. Besides, it's not like they are against any of his "rich people only" agenda that they benefit from.
Nothing you said actually disagrees with my stated point. Americans are stupid. Agree to have your political affiliation issue you every thought and feeling you have? Well, you're even dumber then. Trump will very easily be President as long as he wants. When he finally steps down, he'll hand the title to Mrs Trump IV, Ivanka. We will get goods from Bangladesh or some other third world nation that pays kids 2 cents a day, all the while whining about the "sweatshop conditions" while benefiting from it all.
Being American practically requires that over 90% of the population to be mentally deficient. There's probably less than 5% of the entire US population that actually is intelligent. The rest pledge allegiance to a political affiliation, where they define their entire existence to only looking at the perspective they are ordered to follow, living their lives with only one thought in their head, ignoring anything that they haven't been told to listen to or obey. People identify so strongly with their affiliation, they use it as a form of identity. "I'm a Democrat!"/"I'm a Republican!". Their entire self-worth/value as a person is wrapped up in the political affiliation to which they swear allegiance.
Of course, the truly hilarious thing is that Democrats are identical to Republicans. There's not a lick of difference between them, despite the pretense that they are totally different.

DIESEL0759 I don’t make that assumption. In fact I think Trump is again stoking nationalistic fervor with these trade wars. America LOVES wars with anything and everything. Most people, dems included actually want a conflict with China. So it’s easy to see why Trump approval is up after ratcheting up a destructive massive consumption tax on the American people.

    • DIESEL0759
      DIESEL0759 20 days ago

You make the assumption that anyone who allies themselves with a political affiliation would be capable of enough independent thought to think that far out. It's a cute rallying cry, the tariffs, but even Trump, who is without a doubt, one of the stupidest, most incompetent people on the planet, knows that manufacturing jobs can and will move to Bangladesh or somewhere else. Trump's goal is to screw with things as much as he can, so the next guy has to hold the bag.
Even when he nominates himself President for Life, it's not like he has any real incentive to do anything for anyone other than himself.

Farmers here had contracts for the grain that is rotting on the ground. The Chinese "customers" that canceled those contracts bought the grain they needed from farmers in other countries. Those farmers will provide the grain China needs next year.

If that happens, our farmers will never recover the market-share Trump's trade war pushed them out of. That posses a question. What % of our agg business will simply disappear?

@Shane Funk they can still cancel a contract of they was violated then it gets litigated in international court. Either way, the Chinese buyers the American farmer had is lost and may never come back of the Chinese like the product and service of the replacing country. If trump is still in office when that happens, I can imagine painting the new China supplier as the enemy.

OK. Someone has to say it. My family farms. Has for generations. Trump is doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing i.e. squeezing out small farmers so that giant ag corps like AMD and Monsanto can have monopoly. This has been going on for years, but has drastically ramped up in the last two years. Same w/ GW Bush tanking the economy. It worked out well for the wealthy. Hell, you could buy en entire city block for pennies on the dollar. This is the game Trump is running. Democrats, though lame as hell, tend toward stable markets. The GOP constantly shakes the shit out of the economy to dislodge the independent operators to the bottom in service to corporations, who can easily weather these storms, and buy up the land. Straight up.

“More farmers suicide” ?? That is so sad. If trump ever fully realise the things he’s done & the hurtful things he has said to people taking their lives for example; this is a really heavy burden to have on ones conscience. I hope he lives a long life to reflect on how he could have bettered America and the people. He has (or in the future looking back at this) had this time to be in a unique position to do good, instead he caused a lot of pain, misery and suffering. I've said this many times but it's worth saying once more. I think most of the people that voted for this mental midget did so not because there agreed with his policies or thought his plans we're solid and logical. They voted for home because they *DIDN'T* like Hillary and wanted to change the things Obama did. Unfortunately, Trump knew this which is why he used the "lock her up" and "Mexico will pay for the wall" slogans and chants. These people were soooooo conned.... but instead of admitting they messed up, they ride their support for this fool like a rented scooter. Trump is there to help Trump and that's a fact. Anyone that believes otherwise is either willfully ignorant or just too lazy and stupid to see it. This is why you don't vote for someone simply because he speaks his mind. You have to look at Trump's history and all the lives he's destroyed (I don't mean you personally, just in general) in the past 30 years, and if a logical person see that, there's no way he'd be elected. But they chose to ignore his 30+ year spree of bad behavior, awful business decisions and egotistical self promotion. Quite frankly, I think a moldy grilled cheese sandwich could do a better job than this fool and when the smoke clears, and all is said and done.. it'll be his supporters that will pay the price. They also shouldn't expect any help when the dust settles, they made their bed.. lie in it.

Walmart says Chinese tariffs will force it to raise prices on some of the items it sells.
Americas largest retailer says prices are going up.
Wal-Mart CFO Brett Biggs told reporters Thursday the company is planning to raise prices on items impacted by tariffs on Chinese goods.
He did not specify which items would see increases.
The Trump administration raised tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese-made goods last week.
That mostly impacted industrial materials, but things like luggage, hats and gloves were also affected.
According to a letter sent to president Trump by retail groups; China supplies 41% of apparel sold in the U.S. as well as 72% of all footwear and 84% of travel goods.
Wal-Mart imports 26% of the merchandise it sells from China.

Mexico is sending all it's tomatoes and avocados due to Trump imposing tariffs. in April, to punish Mexico for dealing with China, Russia, Japan to include Germany, and even the UK which is Trump's lapdog! Trump initiated a tarriff on metal items from Mexico. Mexico retaliated by sending all of it's excess food produce to China and Japan.
A few days ago trump called off the tariffs with Mexico and even included Canada on certain items. And then on May 17th, he secretly called the Mexican president AMLO, to discuss most likely China and Russia meddling in Latin America. According to Mexico news, which is far matter than the USA is in letting people know what is happening, AMLO didn't even return the call, then he went on national news saying the deals with Russia and China are already approved.

Trump is too stupid to know and realize that Mexico has more in common with both Russia and China than the USA. In fact, and unlike the other presidents of Mexico, of which are/were similar to US presidents and politicians, who sell themselves and their countries to the highest corporate bidders, the Mexican president, AMLO, is not corrupted and considers the Trump as not to be trusted.

@hermenutic .... It doesn't seem or feel hopeful at all. The comment of his that I referred to in my previous reply was made approximately a year ago (recorded during an interview).....and he's been true to his word since then that he has not intention to deal with the Federal Deficit, or even to attempt to BUDGET to reduce it. Since then, he's made one erratic financial and/or world wide impact decisions on other levels.....all of them not to our benefit. He's alienated most of out allies....and kept the USA out of leadership roles world-wide that we formerly were consistently part of.
He's given monstrous tax cuts to the the point that the MOST wealthy are paying virtually NOTHING in taxes. He's raided the Social Security dept (THAT IS OUR MONEY IN THERE....NOT SOME SORT OF "SLUSH FUND" FOR TRUMP!!!!)....and he's still whining about a health plan that the GOP had 8 years to work on before Trump even got into office: and TRUMP STILL HASN'T DEVELOPED A VIABLE HEALTHCARE PLAN. He's promised the middle class a tax cut (just before the mid term the hope to get votes.....but he never came through with that promise).

People can't afford iPhone? They buy HUAWEI or XIAOMI.
