So sorry that happened to you!! I can imagine how scary that was!! For the rash you developed, try a cream called “Exoderm” it’s used for eczema and contact dermatitis! I had a mystery rash on my face from a new eye cream and it cleared it up right away! I purchased mine at Walgreens. Love your videos ❤️

This was a real experience. Sorry the microblading wasn't what you expected. I had an allergic reaction when I got a tattoo with different colors. It took a year for my tattoo to heal on my arm..Anything on the face is scary. Great advice to spot test the products being used.

I’m so sorry you had a reaction like this. I’ve had a similar reaction but mine was due to makeup wipes. My eyes were puffy and then the skin on my eyelids was raw 😩 and I had welts and lots of swelling all over my face. It took like 2 weeks to get back to normal. So I know how awfully frustrating this was for you. I’m so glad you’re better though! If I were you, I’d see an allergist to see what exactly you were allergic to so you can prevent any contact with it in the future. Much love from Alabama 💜💜

    Oh my God!
I had a horrible reaction about a month ago from microblading as well! My eyes were not puffy but my whole face was covered in RASH...extremely itchy rash! I have never had such a reaction and no allergy pills had helped. It was so hard not to touch my face. It almost felt like I had chicken pox all over again. I had to go see my dermatologist who has prescribed medicine and gave me a steroid shot. The rash vanished within days and so did my brows lol. They are so patchy now it's not even funny, but I will not go and do another round of microblading. Not worth it. I guess I will have to spend 25 mins on my brows every single day.

A lot of people are commenting about their sensitive skin being why they’re going to pass on microblding, but what happen to her has nothing to do with sensitive skin. any dermatologist will tell you she had an allergic reaction, sometimes your skin will have a bad reaction to foreign objects. Prescribed Cortisone cream will help. (Same thing happens for me with acrylic nails)

  • Fai
    Fai 6 months ago

Sorry you had to go through that. I’m guessing it was an allergic reaction to the numbing cream. HIGHLY recommend patch testing

I would suggest you do an allergy panel to see if you were allergic to the antibiotic ointment or the lidocaine numbing cream! If there’s a certain ingredient you find it your allergic to you can let the browdoctor know and I’m pretty sure she can offer you a redo on the house by using alternative creams to avoid the allergic reaction from occurring again. At least, that’s what I would do as a cosmetologist.
:( I’m so sorry you went through this experience!!

Girl...please please please go get an allergy test! I had a similar reaction to carrots and refused to get one for years until last year when I went into anaphylactic shock from a protein bar. Knowing what you’re allergic to is SO SO SO important. You can also develop allergies to foods and other things, so keep that in mind. Take it from someone who was three minutes away from dying...the extra trip to the doctor is worth it.

this s happened to me at least 7-8 times in the past 10 years.. the first time is SO scary! u r afraid it will never go back to normal! and u dont expect it to last for a full 2-3days.. it sucks, it s uncomfortable, it gets heavy and hot nd on the following days after it s gotten back u have all these wrinkles from the skin at the area that got streched out (but they eventually disappear too);; anyway, now, im used to it so when i feel any lid heaviness i jump onto the anti allergy medication hard, the sooner u get them in the least swollen they ll be.. but honestly, it s really hard to identify the reason.. i ve had it happen to me in all different scenarios, not having taken any medication whatsoever, having make up on, not having make up on, cold wheather, hot weather, humid, dried... never ate anything out of the ordinary... literally out of thin air for no reason. I also feel my nose itch and the hood of my month to itch a little as well prior to these reactions.. it s comforting to know it ll all revert back to normal but the first time s super scary!

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this Alissa. A lot of people take cosmetic non surgical procedures lightly, some people even say lip injections are "like putting sugar water" wich actually piss me off because it is not ttrue at all. On the other hand you already have tattoos babe, meaning you could go back have them microbladed again but only if you are willing to do it without any anestesia or the other medicine they put on your brows.

  • AlexisMonasia
    AlexisMonasia 6 months ago

You could possibly be allergic to a chemical in the dye as well. The chemical I’m allergic to is PPD and when I dyed my hair my face was swollen and I had hives and my scalp was irritated. The Chemical is also found in henna and temporary tattoo ink. An allergy test will be beneficial.

I appreciate that you handled that traumatic experience with grace and didn’t start pointing an accusatory finger at the specialist. You explained and reiterated that she did what she was supposed to and gave great advice at the end. What a proper and responsible review should be.
