    That was an awesome video! ... now here's my question. If you would inquart the gold with copper and drop the molten puddle in water to raise the surface area like you did in this video, could you then dissolve the flakes in HCL to get rid of the copper and be left with just the gold (mostly)???

    When you use silver to dilute the gold, after the silver has dissolved, and you have separated the gold, is the silver lost or can you recover it?
