As a republican, I would feel comfortable if the other choice was Andrew Yang. He at least seems educated and not on some social justice crusade to slingshot as far left as possible. Still voting for Trump, though.

Please support this and share far and wide. I'm declaring International Boycott your Government and Employer on the 01.07.19 1st July 2019. Rules are no going to work, phone in with stress (of being treated like idiots). No spending a single penny, even on the internet. And try not to leave the house, making it look like a public holiday would just show we're not taking it seriously!
Strikes don't work, there's too much notice to enable employers to enable them to put contingency plans in place, this way how are they going to gauge things in advance. London protests are so heavily policed they don't even have time to get off the ground. Austerity only stretched to the public and the council's budget, whilst MPs still have fat cat pay rises and rinse the public purse with their dodgy business deals for personal gain, the millionaires are still doing business after cash for questions and no one is sitting in jail? Employers are treating the national minimum wage like a bench mark. All the laws are on the employers side it's almost pre union days in some places of work. So come on who's sick of feeling nothing can be done, let's stick up two fingers to the establishments and hit them where it hurts by not allowing them to make money off us for the day. Let's make history, I'd love to see the worry on their faces whilst they sit in their ivory tower. On the same day we can petition for MPs wages to become a yearly public vote.

@Toy Fwd in NRS medical college, Kolkata after the death of a 72 yr old patient brought to emergency, a mob of around 200 people attacked 2 doctors and brutally injured an intern on duty Dr. Paribaha Mukherjee causing him a fracture of frontal bone which lead him to a comatose situation and get a neurosurgery.
This is not the first incident, despite numerous strikes the indian media mostly stresses on the part of doctors being on strike..all we are requesting them is to please also highlight the life-threatening conditions in which an Indian doctor is forced to work now. Can u imagine yourself being surrounded by an angry mob of '200' illiterate people like Imran Mahmood Mahmood (one of the culprits) coming in 2 full trolleys ready to kill you. What would you do? Where will you run?
I request the international media to please help us by doing a coverage of this situation in Kolkata as the indian media as u can see from the above comment itself will not highlight our plight whatsoever.
      ~ still humbly requesting
      A doctor from India.

Jim Evans Hi Jim, I don't believe there is a D notice, as this story has already appeared in one of the national newspapers, the Express, I believe. If you google it, you will see. But they are trying to keep this quiet, in the hope of delaying it (the case), indefinitely, just like they are doing with Brexit, itself...

      Jigsaw John 4 months ago

Art Man The EU DO pay £millions to the BBC, and if you research it, you will see that is true. And as to your second point, I do protest against that. By signing the petition, and by refusing to pay for their extortion licence fee.

The EU doesn’t pay them. The British people do. I heard that soon, people over 75 will also have to pay the license fee that was subsidized. Why don’t you protest that?

Betrayed?! Really?! I'm not feeling betrayed? What promise has Trump made to you that now makes you feel betrayed?
You hated all his promises and all he stands for since the beginning. So what exactly now has you feeling betrayed all of sudden?
Sounds like you're just making up a bunch of nonsense .... hoping that if you repeat it enough times , people will eventually start believing it.

    • csc61
      csc61 4 months ago

@smooth_concrete Oh, and your Supreme Court argument is disingenuous. There's ample proof none of Trump's nominations would get through if Dems controlled the Senate.

    • csc61
      csc61 4 months ago

@smooth_concrete Obama and Clinton both wanted to sign the U.N.'s small arms ban treaty. If ratified, it would have effectively abolished our 2nd Amendment rights and placed us under U.N. rule. As for 1st Amendment rights, those are being eroded away daily under our very noses. Too many examples to get into. Trump doesn't seem to be doing much about that but I'm quite certain Clinton would be trying to accelerate it. That's enough civics lesson for today. You have your way of viewing things -- I have mine. Cheers!

    • smooth_concrete
      smooth_concrete 4 months ago

@csc61The Gorsuch appointment never should have happened. The Republican congress filibustered Garland for a year because they absolutely refused to tolerate a justice that wasn't entirely aligned with them politically - or as you put it, were "pulling the skin of their faces" - despite the constitution they claim to love so dearly explicitly stating that the president appoints a justice, the Senate then either approves or disapproves (delaying the vote does not follow this process). They simply altered the rules to appeal to them because they didn't get their way. That's unconstitutional in every aspect. It's funny, the Republican narrative claims to strictly adhere to the constitution, but nearly all of their practices blatantly contradict it. Explain why you feel Democrats would be "signing away your 1st and 2nd amendment rights."

    • csc61
      csc61 4 months ago

@smooth_concrete Well, since you've asked: Everything you hate -- I appreciate! Let's start with the fact he isn't Clinton. That's "YUGE!" Add to that Gorsuch and Kavanaugh (not to mention all the other Federal appointments that are going on while no one is paying attention). Then there's the thousands in taxes I've already saved (and will continue saving for at least the next 8 years). He's standing up to China, Mexico, North Korea, and Iran (unlike his weakling predecessor). And I'm quite confident he isn't going to just sign away my 1st and 2nd Amendment rights and have us bowing down to the U.N. Oh, and he's got the lunatic left pulling the skin off their faces! I love that! Yeah, I'm feeling quite positive.
