I hiked this yesterday. Was originally planning a different hike, but when I saw the sign for Apple Orchard Falls I thought, “If Suzie can do it, I can do it!” Was definitely lovely, though I hiked up from the downriver side of the falls. Thank you for the video or I wouldn’t have known about it!

My girlfriend talked me into a roach coach convention several years ago where I live in Northern California. About thirty roach coaches in a park selling food. She also talked me into doing the half Dome cable route and the Clouds Rest trail which is a knife edge with 2000 ft. drop offs on each side. Did I mention I'm afraid of heights? God bless her!

Someone once said your stomach is most important when exercising. I hike 3 or 4 times a week. Usually 3 miles with a 15 lb pack for me and Emma my Gordon Setter. Having a dog is everything to me as far as hiking. If I get lost Emma knows where we are. She scares me being that smart. I would follow her anywhere.

Nice. Sounds like Susie drank most of the alcohol that was floating on the top. She should have stirred it before drinking. Loved the hiking area. Thanks for sharing.

I big your pardon, I live near "The Big Sack" also, it's not so bad. BTW, I just came back from a trip to Ireland and Murphy is a very common name there, mine not so much, but I was told it was Irish also.

You should review the IBose four panel solar powered battery pack. It is specifically designed for orchard use! I just bought one and it's pretty nice. The battery detaches from the solar panels so I'm not stuck with a giant brick if I'm not actually out in the woods needing the solar panels. It is relatively light. Considering the panels it may even be considered extremely light. I'm not disappointed so far, but I've only had it a couple days. Like all Chinese stuff sold by questionable retailers the description of this product had some interesting stuff in it. They state an MSRP of $120 and it's ob sale for a little over $40 right now. If it lasts me three years before it dies then I'll be really impressed. I'll baby it, because it isn't the most confidence inspiring construction, but I also wouldn't be opposed to strapping it on the back of my backpack and charging it with the sun on a longer trip. It should theoretically take days for me to discharge it enough to even need to recharge, and in theory it only needs eight hours of sunlight to get enough power to fully charge my *theoretically* I could go weeks without needing a wall outlet if the weather cooperates.
If you're looking for an affordable affiliate link for your viewers then this is a hell of an item to review.
And if this is you grandmother's orchard in this video then this is the battery pack you've been waiting for!! This is cut and pasted directly from the Amazon description:
Here are a few situations where you can use the solar charger
    The park
    • The beach
    • On a rooftop
    • Your favorite café
    • Music festivals
    • When hiking
    • On a boat
    • A clearance in the middle of the forest
    • At picnics
    • On savannahs or the outback
    • In your backyard with some brews
    • On a desert island
    • At outdoor parties
    • On the Great Wall of China
    *• In your grandma's orchard*

    Hey Luke,
Ive followed your channel now for a while and really love the content you put out, very honest reviews.
I also would like your opinion on a tent (or people in the comment section). Ive been looking for a new tent since my tent of €40 isnt gonna get the 3 year mark. It served me well but I need a new tent, and this one caught my attention "Salewa Denali II" any idea if its a good tent? So far reviews have always been positive but I would like an in depth opinion/review.
Kind regards and keep up the nice videos 👍
    They inspire to hike!

If you are ever in PA, try out Rickett's Glen State Park in Eastern PA, 22 named falls, and the highest is 94-foot Ganoga Falls. During the summer it is packed, but it is open all year round, so you can find times when you have it almost to yourself. I am a lot older than you youngsters and I hiked a loop of it 6 years ago at 60 so as to see all the falls and I will admit, near the end it was kicking my butt. It is beautiful though. The loop is all down hill, and I mean rocky and steep, then you go back up on the other side, rocky and steep. Here is some info on it.

I went on that hike, well half of it. We asked for a mid level hike and got that one. It was also the only hike we went on in Virginia, I was in slip ons with no socks and no ashma inhaler. We also didnt bring enough water, coming up is not fun.

I'm a big believer in the old adage that says, "It's not the destination it's the journey", but this hike is definitely all about the destination! I LOVE water and rock... it's probably why one of my favorite places is the White Mountain national forest up here, tons of rocky rivers, waterfalls and mountains. I like to take it fairly slow when I hike/camp because I don't wan to miss anything though.
