  • MEAT LOAF - BAT - Caleb Johnson -"I'd Do Anything for Love" @ Coach House, San Juan Capistrano 3/17/2019
Caleb Perry Johnson is an American singer who won the thirteenth season of American Idol.
I was only planning to take photos, but DAMN this show was AWESOME!! Even without Meatloaf, CALEB KICKED ASS!! So I had to do at lest one video, even though I didn't have my stabilized lens on and didn't adjust the built in mic level correctly adjusted (vs using my external mic). So that's why there's some harsh pops and shaky filming. I was able to remove some shakes in the last part, but doing everywhere resulted in too much crop. If I find a way to get rid of the loud harsh clicks I'll reload the video. - The Neverland Express Band: Cian Coey, Paul Crook, Justin Avery, Nick Dimichino, Randy Flowers, John Miceli

Awesome band , great singer , many bands can replace a singer but it’s the heart and soul that’s missing.

I just don’t think his style fits the neverland express or any of meats songs, the band should just end at this point rather than continue with Caleb.

shitty outfit, no heart-felt passion for the song. great voice though, but nothing like meat loaf.

Is Caleb and his band take over for Meat loaf?

The band is Meatloaf’s band. After this show, the guitarist (Paul Crook) told my girlfriend and me that Meatloaf hurt his back so that’s why he’s not playing with the band (not sure if this is just a temp thing). I don’t think Caleb’s plan is to take the place of Meatloaf, but probably just do this or a few more tours. I feel Caleb wants to do his own music.

Just curious about why ZEBRA's "Tell Me What You Want" comes in at the end of this video?
No Biggie, it is just really funny to me as I personally worked for Zebra over 22 years,
and Meat Loaf for 18 years (Both Bands are MY FAMILY!), I did work this particular show too!
My first thought was... Google is Fucking with Me! ...LOL!

@Joe Libretti I actually spoke to Randy in person about the Coach House after 2 shows, as well as his promoter. He seemed interested in it. Don’t want to keep asking him about it, especially if for some reason he could be having a bad time getting a gig there. Thought maybe you might have some muscle (if needed) to get them a gig there.

@3.V Audio & Video BTW... Getting Zebra to The Coach House is certainly possible. I recommend going to www.TheDoor.com and emailing Randy directly:-)

Great Voice & great singer, but a mediocre performer. he ain´t got the authentic feeling for what the songs need to become to their own life. his liveshow seems to me a little bit too flat and amateurish. But no doubt, he´s a technical top singer,, unfortunately not more than this. what cares it, if you got a big voice, when you soul is missing.

Thomas Johannsen meatloaf is out recovering from an injury, his band wanted to keep touring, he said it was ok, they found this guy. Meatloaf approves of him. Yeah, it’s not the same, and yes he’s inexperienced. But the real guy likes and approves, which is what counts.

LOL.. As Paul Crook gets older - and when the light falls just right - he looks more and more like Ron Perlman.

@mark cegelski Ha ha! The day before this show I saw Billy (I uploaded my “Rebell Yell” filming on this channel) and kept making his smirk face before, during and after the show that my GF couldn't’ stand (but the folk selling his nock off concert shirts thought it was funny!). I forgot which guy in this BAT show, but one of them i told the same story and he laughed. Probably told Paul, as I do remeber my gf and I telling him we had more fun at his show than at Billy’s the night before. He really appreciated the comment. Oh, and I lived neer Green Brook too, in Piscataway for about 11 years (originally from Orange County, NY).

@maxtor1981 Great story! Thanks for sharing! A guitar player myself, I was also watching him play quite a bit. Took a lot of photos of him playing. I finally shared the photos up on my Facebook page last night.

I live in Denmark and I've only experienced one concert with them. It was the Casa de Carne tour i 2008 and they gave two concerts in Denmark. I got there five hours before the gates opened and I was the very first in line.
Once the gates opened, I ran across the field (It was at a soccer stadium) and got a place in the first row. Most of the first row was already filled, because they let people with meet 'n greet-passes in early. But I good a place right in front of where Paul Crook would stand, which is where I would have placed myself anyway.
During the concert Paul noticed that me and the guy next to me were the only obvious guitar-enthusiast. (We looked at his guitars the same way we looked at CC). And at the end of the concert, he threw us both one of his signature plectrums! It says "Meat Loaf" on one side and then his name signed in "machine-handwriting" on the other.
I was pretty euphoric about that even though I didn't got to talk to him. Some of the others got drum sticks from John Miceli.
