Great summary from the Spongebob Wiki (spongebob.fandom.com/wiki/Krabs_vs._Plankton):
A depressed Plankton wakes up and goes to the Krusty Krab one morning without a plan to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, telling Karen that he will "wing it", not knowing what he might get himself into. When he goes inside, he slips on the floor where SpongeBob just mopped and is ridiculed by Mr. Krabs. Two customers observing the incident comment that there should've be a wet floor sign and that they would sue Krabs for everything he possesses if that happened to them, including the Krabby Patty secret formula. Plankton then pretends to be badly injured and, after paramedics come and pick him up, Plankton threatens to sue Mr. Krabs unless he gives him the formula, but Mr. Krabs angrily refuses.
Fearing that he will lose the case, Mr. Krabs hires a lawyer named Richard A. Bottomfeeder, who tells him that he will not charge him anything unless they win and that they will counter-sue Plankton for everything he owns. Later, in Mr. Krabs' office, SpongeBob wants to read his testimony speech to Mr. Krabs. However, Mr. Krabs declines SpongeBob's testimony and tells him that he could be more of a liability than an asset. Unfortunately, as they prepare to leave for the court hearing, Richard slips and falls, breaking his back. He gives SpongeBob his briefcase, saying that they only need what's inside the briefcase to win the case. SpongeBob takes Richard's suit and arrives late to the trial, dubbing himself "SpongeBob LawyerPants" to Judge Stickleback.

I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous.
Today I'm taking a break from representing clients and teaching law students how to kick ass in law school to take on lawyers in the movies and on TV. While all legal movies and shows take dramatic license to make things more interesting (nobody wants to see hundreds of hours of brief writing), many of them have a grain of truth.
This is part of a continuing series of "Lawyer Reaction" videos. Got a legal movie or TV show you'd like me to critique? Let me know in the comments!

      Objection,

Mr Krabs isn't liable to plankton, but he has definitely committed crimes that would or should earn him time in prison. You can find a summary of just SOME of these crimes. What would be the punishment for each of these crimes, especially for the Nasty Patty fiasco? tvclip.biz/video/xVgCLgwP2pc/video.html

How legal is it for TVclip passing the buck onto it's own Content Creators by having the Federal Trade Commission telling them to make sure that their Content is either for kids or not for kids, or they face a fine that's approximately $42,000 per video, because of COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998) guidelines?

To my knowledge approximately everyone in the Bikini Bottom hates Plankton so if he was being taunted or if Mr Krabs was being mean to him no one would really care. And the only reason everyone was sympathizing him in this episode is because he pretended to be injured because Nat (the green fish) gave him the idea of suing Mr Krabs for not having a wet floor sign and get the krabby patty secret formula as compensation. And if you haven't watched F.U.N (Spongebob Squarepants Season 1 episode 21) Squidward points out that Plankton is the most hated creature in the bikini bottom. tvclip.biz/video/x1nICh63Vbw/video.html

In dutch dub (in The Netherlands) Spongebob called himself Moszkopants when he enters the court.
It is a nod to Moszkowicz, a famous formerly lawyer in The Netherlands.

Wait, you said that the "homeowner gets sued by robbers that injured themselves and loses" was a myth. Now you just said that California changed the law to not distinguish between an intruder and an invited guest, which would make that "myth" a highly probable outcome, if it hasn't happened already. So which one is it?

Nothing about the sea creatures of bikini bottom needs to be questioned because luckily for us hillenburg studied marine biology😁

  • Riku Keyblade Master

On the other hand mr. Krabs actually can counter Sue because of the fact that Plankton has tried several times of stealing the formula even though crabs knows that Plankton tries there have been a multitude of times where he's tried several diabolical schemes even killing innocent bystanders in that attempt so he should be able to counter Sue because not only is Plankton trying to steal the formula all the time but some of the time he actually ended up causing murder that the police could easily pin mr. Krabs for even though Plankton was the one at fault.

  • Riku Keyblade Master

In all reasonability I've reviewed this episode time and time again and I think mr. Krabs did that on purpose to trap Plankton and stop him from stealing the formula much what how another person would trap an unsuspecting victim into something that is harmful to them but in that case they did nothing wrong but in plankton's case he was trying to steal the formula. Mr Krabs even stated that he knew he would try to steal the formula and came right out as soon as Plankton slipped so logically yes that was most definitely a trap that Eugene H Krabs actually set on purpose!

I understand why their are laws that say you cant represent anyone unless you are a Lawyer. I might be wording this terribly wrong which is highly likely but according to one amendment it said that you have a right to a council. it does not say that you have to have a law degree. If someone can clear this up thank you!
