0:31 and 0:51 sound like part of a different songs tone but I can’t put my finger on it.

Oh Dolly without your music I could never emote what I truly feel. You have such a gift. I saw you in 2016 and it might have been the best day of my life. My son saw you through the womb. I played all your music when pregnant, now he loves you too😍

All the girls were pretty and sounded very nice but when dolly steps out of that room they all become twos and threes in her presence she is one of the only true dime pieces and her voice standalone

The worst part is that all these women had a good boss who looked out for them and genuinely cared about their welfare. What's going to happen to them now?

All I can say much as I love Dolly parton (an amazing example of generosity kindness and class that has set her apart from celebrities the world over by simple virtue of the fact that she practices what she preaches and she's preaching love and kindness bless her heart) I am forever grateful that she didn't sign up for the second one a horrible eyesore that should never have seen the light of day....EVER!!!. So thank you Dolly .

Even though I don't agree with the trade they were in, having to pick up and start over again is never easy, no matter what kind of a life you lived. A rather pleasant sounding song, even if it is sad.

The Chicken Ranch is alive and well. And I'm glad of that fact. The knowledge of that has gotten me thru more hard candy times than it, perhaps, should.

I took a date to this in 1982 because she wanted to see it. I thought I was going to die before it was over. Never wanted to see it again.

The original house was outside LaGrange Texas,. ZZ Top did a song about it. Not much left of the Chicken Ranch but the floors. Miss Mona was based on Edna Milton. The young prostitute that Miss Jessie, the original founder, left the Chicken Ranch to. Sheriff Ed Erl Dobbs was based on T.J. Flournoy the Sheriff who protected the house. Melvin P. Thorpe was based on TV reporter Marvin Zindler, who led the investigation that ultimately shut the chicken ranch down for good. Only Marvin Zindler did not sing and dance, and didn't like this movie either.

This movie/musical is the true story of a famous brothel in Texas that was finally shut down by the law. This scene/song shows the "ladies" leaving the house & going their separate ways. This scene takes place just a few days before Christmas.
