Those older model pickups had zero crash protection. What a shame for the family and friends.
Trees don't have any give. No matter what speed you are traveling. Sending Prayers
Crashed as fast as it could go , oops
What's the story on this?
Damn he must have been hauling ass down that road. And had his younger brother with him. Wow!
Wreck is from December 29th,2006 at 8:30am. 18 yo driver Terry Johnson never regained consciousness and was pronounced deceased at 3:10pm at Texas Medical Center in Houston. His passenger and 16 yo brother, Andrew Johnson never lost consciousness throughout the extraction and was also lifeflighted. Although initially in critical condition Andrew survived the accident.
Well...I bet that was a Horrible 6 hours and 40 minutes for him before he expired....
I have never seen a pickup tore up this bad prayers for all involved
It's all Nascar and fun till the tree reminds you about not having a roll cage
Horrible wreck, I am so sorry for the loss
All I can say is unbelievable, I have never seen these types of wrecks anywhere else, may the deceased rest in peace and condolences to the family. I can't say anything bad we all have done stupid things, but unfortunately this mistake has costed someone's life, sad
That’s a damn strong tree
Those Texas oaks are tough.
Darwin's theory ... Is anything besides driving that important to die.... So sad it's the family that suffers...
It's a miracle if anybody survives this horrific accident. The whole front of underneath the truck including the front tires is actually behind the truck. Just crazy.
I see the truck used to be a long bed
I couldn't really hear the interview of the accident becuz of the noise. I heard the names of Terry Johnson which I believe was driving. He was 18, and then his little brother that was 16. But which one died?
@John LaFever Wow thank u for that update. I know u didn't have to share that so I appreciate it very much. It's amazing that both didn't pass away. That truck u can hardly even make out. Gosh only 18...just a very young man to have his life cut so short is incredibly sad. Young people seen to think that they are invisible. God be with the young brother, something he will never forget no doubt. I feel deeply for the family. Hope they are doing better somehow. That is quite a while ago. I kind of knew that from the video.
it's a miracle that anyone could survive this horrible accident. Nothing left of the truck! Right?!
@John LaFever I thought they said one of the boys had passed from there injuries....
Rebekka Bebee wreck is from 2006. The wreck happened at 8:30am. At 3:10pm Terry was pronounced deceased at the medical center after never regaining consciousness. His passenger and 16 yo brother is Andrew Johnson. Both reported in the video as “in rough shape. Both lifeflighted.”Andrew never lost consciousness throughout the extraction and although was in critical condition, survived!
Stupid's really big in Texas.
broke the frame in half
@Music4TheSoul Yes, the engine is till attached to the front end of the chassis/frame which was behind the rest of the truck. The dashboard has probably been destroyed by the impact with the tree which has pushed the bulkhead/fire wall a long way into the passenger compartment. Some of the instruments had been ejected from the vehicle...
Looks like the motor and dashboard are gone!
Wow it's unbelievable!! Can't turn back once you drive crazy.
As much as I like your videos, it would be nice to have a minuscule of details leading up to the accident.
@onmilo no problem.
@tiredlawdog Usually when there is no detailed description the staff is so busy covering events they don't have the time to post one. but they'll try to get an interview of what happened while on site. HTH
@onmilo you're right I did not watch it all the way to the end. Thanks for shedding some light on that.
If you watched the video to the end a description of events leading to the accident were provided through LEO interview on scene.
