Thank you all for tuning in to this two part series! I know that cliff hanger in part 1 got some of y’all ready to square up but I hope the end result was worth the wait.
Also I just have to say, throughout the process of making this video I spent hours and hours watching old film, looking up obscure stats and facts that only us basketball fans would appreciate, and watched clips of legendary moments and after awhile I caught myself getting lost in these old videos, in amazement at how incredible these players are and how awesome this sport is. Because of y’all I get to watch, dissect and analyze basketball for a living and I CANNOT thank y’all enough. This is truly the best job in the world and I’m going to continue to create this stories and videos for us to watch, share and enjoy. I Appreciate all of you 💯

@Earl Washington Lebron stat padding record dont mean shit. Paul salas has more rebounds than Rodman is he a better rebounder. I can throw a bunch of records that Lebron will never touch. One being 6 out of 6 chips vs 3 out of 9. Lebron is overrated.

    • Earl Washington
      Earl Washington 5 days ago

@lloganmusic LeBron surpass damn near all of Jordan and Kobe record

    • lloganmusic
      lloganmusic 5 days ago +1

@Earl Washington You cant even put Lebron over Kobe, let alone Jordan. Especially since Lebron played against a trash eastern conference most of his career. In the end you opinion carries little important since most NBA player consider Jordan as the GOAT. Lebro not even close.

    • Earl Washington
      Earl Washington 5 days ago

@lloganmusic u can't consider MJ. above Lebron if the team is add was op compared to tje others one west at that time was no competition and Jordan had a soild team ,LeBron didn't so stop riding Jordan nuts

    • lloganmusic
      lloganmusic 5 days ago

@Earl Washington 73% of NBA players voted MJ as the undisputed GOAT, other players not even close. You cant be considered a tier 2 when you have 6 finals losses and needed to join superstars to win a chip. Lebron should be tier 3 or 4.

the only thing i will change from your list is bring lebron down to tier 3 and put bird in tier 2 cause let face it bird has accomplished the same amount amount of rewards that lebron has in a much smaller time frame and if bird never injured his back he would of at least won one more ring or two and that says a lot about birds abilities on the court. while lebron may have finally achieved what bird has but it took him much longer to achieved it. so just like you said in your video. having longevity may work against you and in lebron case it did hurt him. lebron came into the league at a much younger age then bird, magic, and jordan but in lebron year 17. he has finally just eclipse bird. so that tells you that bird at his peak was a much better basketball player even though he was not as athletic as lebron was and this is the reason why i would put bird ahead of lebron.

i need a real argument for how kobe is a tier above tim duncan

    • Justin Keith
      Justin Keith 4 hours ago

@chevy man duncan had better career, true shooting, per and win shares. and was the best player on 4/5 championships. Kobe had 14 seasons where his defensive box plus minus was a net negative, duncan had zero seasons of that kind.
Kobe lead the league in two advanced metrics, usage and games played, twice.
Duncan lead the league in offensive win shares, volume over a replacement level player, and box plus/minus in 01-02, defensive win shares 5 times, and total win shares twice.
in terms of traditional stats, kobe was a guard that averaged an assist and a half more over his career than duncan did as a big man.

I was loving the video until I saw lebron at tier 2 and mj wasn't even on the list until I further noticed he's in tier 1. I'm just saying that lebron should either b n tier 1 with him or without him. He has way more competition than Michael. He has the ability of playmaking(passing), dunking, defense, and sometime shooting when he actually wants to or is in his zone. Michael did put up crazy numbers don't get me wrong, but seeing lebron tier 2 just had me broken. Yes Michael has more rings but he retired and didn't go against the greatest players like lebron did.

I believe Kobe, lebron, Kareem and MJ deserve Tier one recognition. If you watch the Kobe highlights from 2000-2013. Damn he was incredible. No one scored like him

Okay so break it down into categories like you said. Basketball skill. Career accomplishments. Showmanship. Longevity. Defensive ability . With an individual list for each of say 10 players. And let's see what those list looks like. Bill Russell is at the top of career accomplishments. Pete Maravich is at the top of showmanship. Michael Jordan is at the top of basketball skill. Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Walt Frazier would top defensive ability. Robert Parrish might top longevity. So on and so forth.

  • alex

LeBron still tier 1 and Duncan is tier 2 and Dirk is tier 4 Chamberlain isn't even tier 5 and Russel is tier 5

  • Manu El-Ocho
    Manu El-Ocho 5 days ago

Kareem: 2 teams, so not completely loyal, missed the playoffs.
    Kobe: mediocre to terrible twilight
Magic: had too much help (another GOAT on his team for a long time), no longevity.
Lebron: Missed the playoffs 3 times. 3rd All NBA team in his 16th season (that's a negative), Stopped playing defense after he blocked Iggy., and he's starting to ring chase.
Tim Duncan: none of the above.

Whether he's better that the above mentioned or not is not something i'm going to discuss (He obviously is better than kobe, no discussion necessary), but Tim Duncan is more than earned his spot on Tier 2.

Jxmy neither Barkley or stock won chips and Barkley had a better peak and won an mvp, the only think Stockton has is longevity, passing, and steals, I’d take rebounds and points over steals and assists, I don’t agree

  • Kazhaky
    Kazhaky 6 days ago

I think Nash should take AI spot. Considering he a 2 time mvp has one of the most consistent shooting percenteges of all time. Where AI only has one mvp and didn’t really have as much longevity to his career as I feel Nash did
